Love this guy so much! We call him Leroy. 🤠 He’s a half brother to two of my favorite horses we have sold. His mind is absolute GOLD, his gait is fantastic, and his personality is the best. Not to mention, he has the best salon red highlights in his mane and is gorgeous. He’ll be one to watch for. 💕

NO LONGER AVAILABLE - Echo is headed to Montana!

If you are looking for a very experienced, super quiet, high quality and SMOOTH gaited horse, Echo is the horse you’ve been waiting for.

Every year, we receive multiple inquiries looking for that smooth, steady Eddie type of horse with plenty of miles under their belt—the kind of horse that anyone can ride and enjoy, from a more experienced rider to kiddos and even Grandma.

Echo is the epitome of what people are looking for, in my opinion. She is one of the best family horses that we’ve had the pleasure of owning, and has been a farm favorite for years.

Echo is a registered dappled buckskin Missouri Fox Trotter mare. Her dapples jump off the page every summer and fall. She stands 14.1 and has a fantastic, stout build. Everyone who rides her comments on how perfect her size and build are. Echo is 14 years old.

Echo has a super smooth, natural gait that is very comfortable and easy to ride. You can just drop the reins and let her do her thing. And her canter… is like riding a cloud. She has one of the smoothest canters I have ever ridden and can canter easily on both leads. Echo also has a great handle. She’s super easy to ride, and very consistent. She’s responsive to her rider without being overly sensitive. She stops on your seat, backs nicely, and moves off your feet.

Echo is very laid back, and just a super sweet natured horse in general. She loves people and attention, and is easy all around to work with. She’s patient and forgiving. One of my favorite things about her is that she loves to put her head in your hands when you pet her. She is a very loving mare, and the type of mare that will make you love mares.

Echo has plenty of miles under her belt. She’s not a spooky horse by nature, and takes things in stride. She’s very level-headed. Echo has been trail ridden extensively. She is confident and surefooted. She’s also happy to lead or follow.

Echo is the type of horse that you can throw just about anyone on, which is not something that I say lightly. She’s also the type of horse that you can lay off for extended periods of time and she’s not going to give you any problems when you get back on her. I laid Echo off and started working with her again when I was freshly postpartum with no issues whatsoever.

Echo has been very well cared for. She has no health issues. Echo would also be ideal for breeding if you wanted to breed her. She is a great mama and produces super people-oriented babies with ideal movement and great builds. My favorite filly on our farm is out of Echo, and if you meet her, you’ll quickly understand why she is our favorite. Like her mama, she is ideal in just about every way.

If you are looking for a very well gaited, super gentle horse for the whole family to enjoy, you will be hard pressed to find a better mare than Echo. She is hard not to love.

Pm for more info or to schedule a time to come ride Echo! Pre-purchase exams are always welcome. Video available upon request. Located in Cedar City, Utah.

Music to my ears on the most perfect late summer evening. ❤️I’ll never get tired of watching summer monsoons roll in! One of my favorite parts about living in southern Utah.

The mare I’m riding is Echo. She is a such an easy mare in just about every way, and has become a farm favorite over the past few years.

NO LONGER AVAILABLE - Something a little different for those who like a little giddy up and a horse that can really cruise along on the trail.🤠

👀🏡 - Cowboy is a 2021 Singlefooter (racking horse) gelding. He stands just shy of 16 hands and is built well.

Cowboy is registered SHOBA. He is sired by Coal Miner by Rowdy Rawhide and out of a very fast Tennessee Walker mare that is Marshall Dillon bred. He’s absolutely gorgeous, with a big, long mane and tail, and a forelock that’s almost to his nose. His mane and tail stay long and thick with no maintenance.

Cowboy has a huge, super fun personality that just about anyone will love and he is super friendly. He is also a very confident horse by nature.

Cowboy is smooth to ride and can perform a four beat gait that ranges anywhere from 6-8mph on the low end, all the way to the low 20mph (22mph or so) range. He is very fun to ride and glides along on the trail. We spend a fair amount of time just walking along the trail on him, so he’s accustomed to that as well.

He’s been ridden lots on the trail, and has had riding in an arena too. Cowboy gets ridden solo multiple times a week, and is great by himself. He’s also been ridden in groups and does well. He has a nice handle on him - he stops nicely, backs well, moves his forequarters when asked, etc. You’ll be hard pressed to find a speed horse with this kind of foundation.

We bought Cowboy and his brother as personal horses, but I had a baby this year and we just haven’t had as much time to get on the trail with our personal horses as we used to, hence why they are for sale. He is priced to sell, and will be a steal for someone who loves a horse with the ability to really cruise along on the trail! Obviously a horse with the potential to cruise along like he can isn’t for someone who just learned to hold the reins yesterday, but he’s a nice boy and will make someone very happy.

What‘s the quality you value most in a horse?

This is a simple video, but it is one of my favorite videos of Bilbo because it reveals so much about him.

This was his first time ever seeing tunnels like this. The tunnels run underneath a very busy freeway. It’s dark, claustrophobic, and loud, with the sound and vibration of the constant traffic overhead. He was being ridden solo, so he’s not leaning on the confidence of another horse. Bilbo gaited right up to the tunnel, entered it without hardly changing his tempo, and calmly went through it.

Training and exposure absolutely matter. They build confidence and teach a horse how to handle the world. But every once in a while, you come across a horse that just has an exceptional mind to begin with. They’re naturally sensible, willing, trusting, and able to process something new without reacting to it.

When I say Bilbo is one of the best-minded horses I’ve ever worked with, this is a good example of what I mean.

To me, the quality of a horse’s mind is the most important quality he can have, and Bilbo definitely has a fantastic mind!❤️
