When Raven came to our team at Thrive Catonsville for surgery, her deaf owners shared that communication during their past vet visits had often been challenging. Ashely, a Customer Service Representative and CODA (Child of Deaf Adults), fluent in American Sign Language, stepped up to help communicate during Raven's appointments, even on her days off. Ashely was able to communicate with Raven's owners directly, making sure they felt informed, comfortable, and truly included every step of the way.
