Patched, pressed & appreciated. ✨

Our Vet Tech Week celebration continued at the heat press. Our team designed one-of-a-kind gear to wear with pride, from rainbow “Veterinary Technician” sweatshirts to patch-covered hats and totes. 🧢👜

Behind every exam, X-ray, dental cleaning, and recovery is a vet tech who gives our patients their all. Thank you for everything you do for the pets and families of the Coachella Valley. Happy Vet Tech Week from all of us at Ridgeline! 💜

Costumes, doorbells, strangers, and a door swinging open every few minutes make a perfect setup for a frightened pet to bolt. A pet who runs in the dark, through a neighborhood full of noise, can end up miles from home. 🌙

Two things to do now: confirm your microchip registration still lists your current phone number, and check that the collar tag is readable. Then set up a quiet back room with water, something familiar, and a fan or TV to mask the noise.

A boring night for them. A peaceful one for you.

Happy Vet Tech Week! 💜🌈

This week, our veterinary technicians traded patients for patches. They turned the treatment tables into a DIY design station and made their own custom sweatshirts, hats, and totes.

Our techs are the steady hands, calm voices, and big hearts behind every visit. They comfort nervous pets, run diagnostics, assist in surgery, and make sure every patient leaves feeling cared for. We’re so grateful for each of you!

You let your dog out for a bathroom break and the gate swings open. Your cat slips through the door during a delivery. In a single second, the unthinkable can happen — and the panic that follows is something no pet parent ever wants to experience. Collars can fall off, tags can fade, but a microchip is forever.

Ridgeline Veterinary Clinic offers professional pet microchipping using a tiny, implantable chip the size of a grain of rice. The quick, low-discomfort procedure places the chip just beneath your pet's skin, where it remains permanently. If your pet is ever lost and brought to a shelter or veterinary clinic, a simple scan reveals your contact information and reunites you with the one who means the world to you. It takes only minutes to do and lasts a lifetime — making it one of the single most impactful things you can do to protect your pet.

You can't always prevent the unexpected — but you can be prepared for it. 🏷️

👻🎃 It’s Toe Tuesday, and our patients are healing in Halloween style!

When a paw needs a bandage, our team likes to add a little extra spooky cheer. This week we’ve got a ghostly glam wrap and a pumpkin paw-tch that are almost too cute to take off (but please leave those bandages on until your vet says so 😉).

Little touches like these help make recovery a bit brighter for our patients and their families. 🧡

They place the IV catheter. They monitor anesthesia breath by breath. They run the labs, take the x-rays, clean the teeth, and sit on the floor at 2 a.m. with a patient who doesn't want to be alone. 🩺

Credentialed veterinary technicians train for years and are licensed, certified, or registered to do this work. They're also, very often, the person who calls you with good news — and the one who steps into the back room when the news isn't.

If you see one this week, say thank you. Out loud.

Fetch is one of the few games where a dog gets everything at once, a chase, a job, a win, and your undivided attention. That last one is what they're really after. 🎾

A few things make it better: warm up with a walk first, throw low and rolling instead of high (twisting mid-air landings are hard on joints), keep water close, and stop before they're exhausted. Older dogs can play too, with shorter throws and softer ground.

Ten minutes. That's all it takes to be their favorite person today.

Watching a pet in chronic pain — whether from a recent injury, a post-surgical recovery, or a long-term condition like arthritis — is one of the harder things about being a pet parent. You want relief for them that doesn't mean adding more medications or another invasive procedure. What if light itself could be the answer?

Ridgeline Veterinary Clinic offers therapeutic laser treatment, a non-invasive, drug-free therapy that uses targeted light energy to reduce inflammation, stimulate cell regeneration, and relieve pain deep within tissues. The treatment is painless — most pets actually relax during sessions — and it can be used for a wide range of conditions including post-surgical healing, wound care, arthritis management, and musculoskeletal injuries. Sessions are typically brief, and many patients show noticeable improvement in comfort and mobility after just a few treatments. It's one of the most versatile and rewarding tools in modern veterinary care.

Sometimes the gentlest treatment is the most powerful one. 💡

Surveys from the Association for Pet Obesity Prevention have put it near 59% of dogs and 61% of cats. Most owners don't see it, because two extra pounds on a twenty-pound dog is invisible day to day. 🐾

Extra weight isn't cosmetic. It's tied to arthritis, diabetes, breathing trouble, and a measurably shorter life. The hopeful part: pets can't open the fridge. Every calorie comes from us, which means we're also the fix.

Start with treats. That's usually where the math goes wrong.

📞 Ask your vet for a weight plan built for your pet.
