Equestrian vaulting - gymnastics and dance on horseback - is practiced by performers of any age or gender at the competitive and non-competitive levels, as well as therapeutically, and is considered the safest among all equestrian sports! Today, vaulting is often performed in circus acts, but it is also one of the ten competitive disciplines recognized by the International Federation for Equestria

n sports (Fédération Équestre Internationale - FEI). Vaulting routines can be performed individually, in pairs or pas de deux, triples, or in teams of up to eight members, and routines are performed at either the walk, trot, or canter.

The founder and long time coach of Topaz Vaulters, Chris Appel-Bucierka, passed away this spring. Her family invites her friends and members of the vaulting community to a Commemoration of Chris' life on Saturday November 7 starting at noon at the Knights of Columbus hall, 5115 Little Falls Road in Arlington VA 22207. Congratulations to all those who participated in Barrel Fest 2019, and a big THANK YOU!! to the wonderful coaches and other volunteers who made it possible! We have an AWESOME Club!

We had fun with all of the other great Vaulting Clubs that participated as well. Lots of old friends, and many new friends...
