Angus & Friends Angus & Friends is a 501(c)(3) non-profit in Castro Valley, CA dedicated to helping feral cats.

Angus & Friends Cat Rescue is a new 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2022. Angus & Friends works collaboratively with other groups to do Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), and to find loving homes for as many stray cats and kittens as possible. We are passionate about the cats, and about educating the public about ways to help the cats and kittens that cross their paths with the goal of reducing the numbers

of community cats on the streets. Our organization is dedicated to the memory of Angus, a 15-year-old orange tabby who was found on death's door by people who lived in his neighborhood who assumed he had a home. He didn't, but probably did at one time, because he turned out to be friendly, though very sick. Efforts were made to save him, but he ultimately had to be put down because he was not recovering after a blood transfusion due to flea anemia. Our goal is to help as many homeless cats and kittens as possible to get off the mean streets and place them in new loving, furrever homes.

Whether you came to shop, donated items, spread the word, or simply stopped by to say hello — we appreciate you! Every dollar raised goes directly toward helping us save the kitties, and your support truly makes a difference. 🐱❤️

A very special thank you to all of our amazing volunteers — those who were onsite helping with setup and takedown, and everyone working behind the scenes to organize, sort, price, promote, and make the whole event possible. We couldn’t do it without you!

It takes a village to save these kitties, and we are so grateful to have such a wonderful one. 🐾

Felix (black & white) and Heathcliff (orange) are adorable, playful felines who have been through a tough start. After losing their mama, these sweet boys are ready for the love, comfort, and security they deserve. 🧡

These charming boys are full of curiosity, zoomies, and plenty of snuggles. They’re looking for a foster or forever family where they can continue to grow and thrive. 🏡🐾

Felix and Heathcliff would love to stay together, but they can also be adopted separately into homes with another friendly feline companion.

September is here, bringing cooler days, cozy evenings, and the perfect time to fall in love with a special kitty. 🍁💕 Meet Sienna, a beautiful gray tabby girl with soft white accents and an even softer heart. 🤍🐱

💬 Sienna says:

“Hi, I’m Sienna! My foster mom, Deborah, thinks I deserve a home of my own where I can be the center of someone’s universe. 🌎💗 I can’t disagree!

I was rescued from living outside when I was a young cat. It took me a while to adjust, but it turned out I was very tame! 😹 At first I was overwhelmed and hid under the furniture, but now I’m much more comfortable. I enjoy relaxing, napping, and hanging out. 💤🐾

I was born around September 2021, so September is extra special to me—it’s my birthday month! 🎂🍂 Even though I’m an adult cat, my foster mom says I’m as cute as a kitten! 😻

I’m still VERY shy with new people and will probably want to hide at first. 🙈 I need someone patient who understands shy cats and will give me the time I need to feel safe and comfortable. Once I settle in, I can really blossom. 🌱💕

I’d love to be your only kitty, though I might also do well with one or two mellow cats. 🐱🐱 I haven’t been around children or dogs.

If you think I’m as cute as my foster mom does, maybe you could be my forever person! 🥹🏡❤️”

🐾💙 NEW MONTH, NEW BEGINNING FOR LUCKY & MIESHA! 💙🐾

A new month is here, and we’re hoping it will finally be the month that Lucky & Miesha find their forever family! 🏡✨

🍀 Lucky is a sweet, shy boy who was rescued after living on the streets. He’s slowly coming out of his shell and becoming more comfortable with people. Having Miesha by his side makes all the difference — she gives him the confidence to feel safe and loved. 🤍

🐈‍⬛ Miesha is a friendly young kitty and a proud tripod! She lost her left front leg due to an injury, but she gets around wonderfully and doesn’t let it slow her down. She and Lucky are the best of friends, and they truly bring out the best in each other. 💕🐾

✨ These two are a BONDED PAIR and must be adopted together! ✨

They would do best in a quiet, adult-only home where they can settle in at their own pace.

Lucky was born in August 2024 and Miesha was born in May 2024. Both are fixed. All Angus & Friends cats are healthy, vaccinated, fixed, and microchipped prior to adoption. 🩺💉🐾

Twinkle Twinkle is the energetic, playful one who’s always ready for an adventure! 🐾⚡ Little Star loves following along with his sister and joining in on the fun. Together, we make a wonderful team! 🌙✨

Sweet, gentle, and full of love, Tumbles is the little sweetheart of her litter! 🥰 After playtime, this affectionate girl loves nothing more than curling up with her people for some serious snuggle time. 🐱💗

Tumbles also has a nurturing side — she’s the little “mom” of the group, always grooming and looking after her siblings. 😻🫶

🍂🐾 SEPTEMBER IS FOR NEW BEGINNINGS — AND WE NEED YOU! 🐾🍂

As summer winds down and September brings a fresh start, we’re looking for a few wonderful volunteers to help feed our community cats in the Hayward area. ❤️🐱

📍 West Winton: Fridays and/or Saturdays
📍 Manon: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and/or Saturdays

The best part? You choose what works for you! You can commit to just one day a week or help on all the days that fit your schedule.

⏰ It takes less than an hour a day, but your time means so much to the cats who count on us.

🍁 September is the perfect time to add a little kindness to your routine, get involved in your community, and give back in a simple but incredibly meaningful way.

Could you spare an hour? 🐾
Your September plans could include making a difference for a few hungry kitties—and we think that’s a pretty great way to start the season. 🧡
