Five years of showing up, growing, learning, and keeping going—even on the days when showing up felt hard.

Going into this next chapter, I’m learning that growth can also mean slowing down a little, setting healthier boundaries, and making more room for life outside of work.

Hope you all had a safe and enjoyable 4th of July Holiday weekend! ✨

🐾 Local dog training recommendation — The K9’s Virtue 🐾

Pinning this here as a resource for my clients & friends because I truly cannot recommend them enough!

I personally went through their program with my own dogs and they helped us so much with structure, confidence, boundaries, and better communication. As a groomer, I see how much proper training can make a huge difference in a dog’s everyday life. 🖤

🔆 Summer Vacation Closures 🔆

Just a heads up that Sparkle Bark will be closed on the following dates this summer while I take some much-needed time off:

🏕️ May 23–25
🏕️ June 5–7
🏕️ July 2–6
🏕️ July 25 (Castle Rock festival)
🏕️ August 3–13/16 (return date tentative)

Please note that I may also take an occasional personal day or long weekend throughout the summer as needed.

My schedule fills quickly, especially around holidays and vacation periods, so I highly encourage everyone to reach out and schedule appointments in advance. 🐾

If you currently have standing appointments, I will be reaching out soon to make any necessary adjustments around these closures.

Quick life update ✨
Huge thank you to The K9s Virtue LLC!
So proud to say the boys have officially graduated from their intensive at-home training program. There’s still more work to be done, but seeing their progress means everything to us.

This past month has been heavy—working through challenges with Indie and Sawyer while also caring for Loba in her final days. My partner Jatniel and I have been in it together every step of the way, learning, adjusting, and showing up for our dogs no matter what.

The K9 Virtue has been incredible and has truly gone above and beyond—helping us face these challenges and guiding us through it all.

If you’re looking for help with your dog—whether it’s fine-tuning manners or working through reactivity or aggression—I can’t recommend them enough.

My heart is very heavy right now after saying goodbye to my sweet girl, Loba. She was 16 years old and had been by my side through so many milestones in my 20’s and 30’s. Losing her feels like losing a piece of my life 🩶

If I seem a little quieter than usual or need to adjust my schedule over the next few days, I truly appreciate your patience and understanding while I take some time to process this loss.
