Moe is in heaven but we have a bit of cleanup to do.
Hay came in late Sunday afternoon (not due til Monday).
Thankfully- help arrived later in the evening but we were off-loading until 1:00am. As overheated as we got- I'm thankful we did it at night.
Knowing we couldn't get it stacked in the loft before the rain coming in; we packed as much as we could into the covered areas and the rest into the barn isle.
Messy but at least we won't lose any.

Y'all I can't lie. This had me SO excited today!
This little mare has been in training for a couple weeks now. Owner was having some safety concerns (rightfully so) with some behaviors that were becoming increasingly unsafe.
In working with her I found that she had some holes in her education and wasn't trusting her people at all, making 'scary' stuff way worse for everyone. After discussing with the owner, I went to work from square 1.
I started with just getting her attention as her focus needs more focus.
Every step whenever she gives me what I want- we stop. She is crazy smart which makes her fun to watch as she processes what's being asked.
I've primarily been working with her to stop and turn in/look at me when something is scary- key word being STOP!

Today I added to her routine- she was nervous about the bag but didn't move-
She got tense when I brought it closer, but didn't move, actually sniffed it, so I stepped away for a moment to give her a break then gently pushed her comfort level a bit. I started by slowly waving it around and over her- she was fine until wind caught bag and it snapped while it was right over her HQ.
She spooked but instead of an explosion it was a TINY leap forward, followed almost immediately with her stopping and turning to face me!
🎉🎉🎉It's the level of trust I've been looking for from her! 🎉🎉🎉
I immediately dropped the whip/bag, pretty sure I squealed a little as I hugged her face and praised her for being such a good girl. Sessions over for the day. 😁💃💃😁🎉

Never thought I'd see the day where Philly would meet you at the gate AND let you halter her without 'the face'....today was the day!
I called for her- she not only turned- she NICKERED before walking all the way to the gate (from across her pasture) AND stuck her own head in the halter. 🥹🥰
For anyone who knows her this is a big deal for her and taken 3years to get her to this point. I won't lie- I may have teared up a little bit.

1. I will be out of town to Mayo Clinic with Gloria-Wednesday afternoon 6/24 through Friday 6/26
I have availability Monday/Tuesday/Weds(am)/Saturday for makeups.
2. Afternoons are hit/miss with the heat. If we have a nice day/evening and you want to ride; independent or lesson, you make contact same day to schedule.
