Illegal breeding contributes to animal suffering and increases the number of animals entering shelters, placing additional strain on already overwhelming intake levels across our region.
If you suspect someone is breeding animals illegally in Los Angeles County DACC's service area, we have a dedicated reporting form to help our officers investigate.

Pepperoncini is the cutest little Chihuahua mix boy!
We don’t know what he’s been through, and the shelter isn’t sure how old he is.
We do know that he is friendly with dogs and people, he’s loving, happy and eager to please.

❤️❤️Update: ADOPTED!❤️❤️URGENT!! Another senior in need of help!!
Sweet Sugar is a 20 pound, 12 year-old Shih Tzu surrendered because her family could no longer take care of her. She is as sweet as her name! Her previous owner said she lived with large dogs and was great with kids. They said she is very loving and a good listener.
She’s kenneled with other small dogs at the shelter. Sugar is currently recovering from the removal of a mammary mass. She is available for adoption with a health waiver. A Rescue would like to help her but needs a foster to do so. If you can find it in your heart to foster this little angel, please send us a DM.
