More new stuff! The Carousel Trot Club is $125/yr and covers one rig under one name (bring whoever you want!) for the year, usually ending mid November.
We will have a kiosk built at the trail head with QR codes for different trails. These codes will be organized by length and difficulty and will include info about roads and other obstacles.
The kiosk will have a donation box for your $10 parking or your trot club payment. This money will go to our "Building Bridges" program which not only builds bridges safe for horses but will work to bridge the gap between trail users.
Trails will have markers for horse bypasses along shared trails.
We plan to offer private clinics for desensitizing horses to ATVs, Dogs, Bridges and Water crossings specifically. After 32 yrs of perfecting these skills with 100s of new horses in our sales and trail ride programs we have a systematic, safe and rider inclusive process. We also have great areas and tools with which to work.
Once a year we hope to host a fundraiser trail ride for the Building Bridges" program and plan to apply for grants through the Maine Trails Program.
We will also host popup "secret" trail opportunities, where we will show you spots to ride that are hard to find on your own and many that won't be on a map!
I can't wait to get this new program going full time. But this year will be a great step in to a new decade of fun times.
