Noble was absolutely fabulous this morning for his little schooling ride! We focused very heavily on transitions today, logging 167 transitions total in Equilab. My biggest priority for Noble is making sure that when he is asked to come down from a canter or a trot that he not only does it when he has asked, but he also does it without pulling on his Ryder’s hands. Is extremely hard for horses to maintain that nice, collected frame during transitions, it takes a lot of effort, and a lot of horses don’t like to do it. You’ll see that a lot of horses have a tendency to fall apart during those transitions, and in the dressage ring, transitions are a huge place where you can either lose or gain points. I am extremely proud of how well Noble did today, he has been figuring it out quite nicely!
