We love seeing dogs in our gear! We have this print as well as many other Halloween and year round prints available today at the for the Raleigh Foodie Fare from 11 am - 3 pm! We will be with tons of other great vendors as well as some delicious food trucks. Bonus: There is an awesome parking deck right next to the pop-up! We hope to see you out there!

Hey fur family! We have been MIA for a solid minute now while mourning the lost of my service dog west, planning for my wedding and going through increasing medical issues. My time away has been critical for both my medical and mental health.
I will always miss West, there is never going to be “getting over” her loss. It was so sudden and traumatic and led to me not only losing a family member…but also losing my service dog.
While these emotions will continue to flux and my medical issues are still needing to be managed, I am ready to drop back into Barkleigh’s. We are kicking this off with the Durham Foodie Fare at Durham Central Park today from 5:30 - 9:30 PM! There will be tons of great food trucks and vendors, we hope to see you there!

Happy Sunday my fellow dog community! Aren’t the pups in the photos adorable? Ranger and Elvis have found new forever homes. Unfortunately, Katie and Phoebe, who are a bonded pair, have not yet found their new forever families. If you have space to foster these sisters or would like to make them your forever fur babies, please reach out! We would love yo start these girls off in a positive path forward this year. ❤️

Hey furiends! Sorry we have been MIA. I’ve been dealing with multiple health issues that have made it hard to do anything extra in life. My tests are starting to come back with possible indications. I’m hoping I’ll have the energy to be on here more.
I miss seeing what everyone is up to and hosting our pop-up events to see all the awesome dog owners (and of course to give all the pets)! Fingers crossed for an upward turn. 🤞

I would like to take a moment to humble brag about West (not that we all don’t know how awesome she is). West has always been a fabulous service dog (even when retired!). Today she struck gold again and alerted me after finding an elderly dog who has been missing for 3 days. She would run to me then run back to the dog and repeat while zelda barked to make sure I was paying attention. Once I got to the dog west checked her all over and stayed by her side until we got to the house. Because of West an elderly dog is back with her parents to live out the days she has left. ❤️ Thank you West ❤️

Barkleigh’s Cafe and Rescue was started because we saw dogs in need in North Carolina and wanted to find a way to help. We are a team of two that is working towards helping those dogs in the Raleigh area. We make every item by hand. Our goal is to be able to help showcase the dogs in high kill shelters and local rescues to help find them a furever home.
