UPDATE: keep those tips coming. We are receiving good leads and believe we know quite a bit. Please don’t quit calling and messaging. We are tired of people making animals disposable and our problem. We will prosecute this type of thing fully. We are blessed with good law enforcement, prosecutors and judges. Please please report anything you know about these and others. We have zero tolerance. There is an animal crisis and this is not acceptable. Please keep sharing.

The Caruthersville Humane Society is seeking information about the previous or current owner of these dogs dumped in W 11th St. We believe they were dumped with 3 older pups that will be coming in tomorrow. We know they belonged to someone and surely someone recognizes them. You can remain anonymous. Rest assured we take every call seriously but have to have a plan for larger intakes. All dogs in MO have to have a stray hold before transports.

We are hoping someone knows who owned these dogs because this is not acceptable. Please share and contact us with information or animal control at (573) 757 5048. Please share.

Remember Titan? Tiny, emaciated, mangy with a huge parasite load? We thought we lost him many times. Today, because of your wonderful donations he was able to get all the medical help, which was extensive, and go to a good and loving home!

We are still in need of donations as we have many animals we are vetting right now. Many need vaccines and standard meds, 19 need spayed or neutered, one needs a possible leg amputation.

We also house 90 + animals in care that need fed and supplies.

You can donate to animals like Titan by mailing a check to P.O. Box 1139 Caruthersville, MO 63830

Or
Venmo
Or
Paypal [email protected]

Your donation is tax deductible and helps give those without a voice a chance.

Please share and help us continue to help them.

On Saturday October 10 from 10a.m. until noon in conjunction with Dr. Bill Embry from Malden Veterinary Clinic, we will be hosting a vaccine clinic for dogs and cats. Most cities require a current rabies vaccine at 4 months old and this not only protects your dog, it protects you in case of a bite.

Rabies shots are $15, parvo distemper $25 and cat vaccines $40. You save the office visit

This clinic is open to any one from any town.

We would like to offer some sponsored vaccines for elderly and low income families but to do this we need your help. We do not have enough funds to sponsor this ourselves.

If you would like to donate for this clinic, you can drop a donation at the shelter. We also have

Paypal : [email protected]. Or
Venmo: Cvllehumanesociety

We will open slots when we know how many we can do

Dogs and cats must be crated or leashed. The vet will come to your car if necessary. It will be first come, first served and the vet takes cash or check

If you have questions, call the shelter at (573) 724 4045. Please leave a message if the answering machine comes on. Please share and help us get the word out!
