☀️TEMPERATURES ARE GETTING HIGH AND BOY IT’s GETTING HOT!!! 🙀🫠
HEAT STROKE WARNINGS ARE IN FULL EFFECT!!!!!
🟥Folks it’s gonna be hot 🔥 and humid 🥵!
We would like to remind you of helpful tips and tricks to help keep your pets from getting heatstroke or heat related illnesses🟥
-Keep your pets indoors in air conditioning❗️
-Provide ample shade/water sources if they do have to go outside❗️
-Take them out to potty and bring them right back in, have them outside as little as possible❗️
-Pavement and concrete can and will burn their paw pads❗️
-Keeping your blinds closed and ceiling fans on helps AC airflow in the house to keep things cooler❗️
-Do not leave pets in your vehicle❗️
-Dogs and cats that are brachycephalic (muzzle area is short/flattened/squished inwards) are more prone to having irregularities in keeping control of their body temperature and can suffer from heat related incidents much easier than longer muzzled pets. Just some examples of these pets are: Cats- Persians, Himalayan’s, British Shorthairs. Dogs- Bulldogs (English and French), Boxers, Boston terriers, Pekingese, Pugs, Bull Mastiffs, Shih Tzus. ❗️
🔆Signs to watch out for Heat Stroke🔆
Early signs of heat stroke include: heavy panting and rapid breathing, excessive drooling, dry mucus membranes, bright red gums and tongue, skin that is hot to the touch, and a higher heart rate.

-Lethargy
-Weakness
-Collapse
-Seizure
-Coma
-Brain Damage
-Death
