Curt and the dogs went out to KS again and got another limit of pheasant today.

Merry Christmas from Emmy vom roten Fluss (7 1/2 years), Brynna vom König-Haus (3 1/2 years), and Anastasia vom Ozarkforst (10 months). Scooter was busy taking a nap inside to come out and pose with the girls. But at 9 1/2 he's earned his nap time.

Curt has the dogs out looking for pheasant and quail in Kansas. So far they have limited out two days in a row on pheasant along with a limit of quail today and a rabbit. Emmy vom roten Fluss (7 1/2 years) Brynna vom König-Haus (3 1/2 years), and Anastasia vom Ozarkforst (10 months) are all contributing equally to the cause.

Congratulations to Ariana vom König-Haus. Yesterday she whelped her first litter. A litter vom Höheren Boden consists of 8 girls and 2 boys. Congratulations to proud pappa Cash vom Rogers-Hütte and breeder Rhonda Wiley.

Congratulations to Jim Wion and Anna vom König-Haus. They passed their VGP with a Prize III./252. Jim told me they had several things that could have been better but they stuck in there and made it through. She's the first from our kennel to attempt the VGP and we are proud of both Jim and Anna for their accomplishments. Next weekend her mother Emmy vom roten Fluss and sister Brynna vom König-Haus will attempt to join her in the ranks of those who have passed the VGP.

Had the dogs out for some VGP water work training today. Brynna did a very good duck search. 15 minutes searching the lily pads and cover then produced and tracked down the duck. Then she had a 200+ yard blind retrieve. One send, never left the water going or coming back, and had a perfect retrieve to hand. So proud of her. Hopefully she'll do just as well on test day.

Just a reminder with the approaching holiday.

The puppies had their first trip down to the pond today. All waded about belly deep. They also attempted the tall grass around the pond area since Emmy and Brynna were trying to find them some rabbits. They enjoyed it thoroughly. Then came back and took a good long nap. I forgot my camera so didn't get any pictures. But it was sure fun to watch.
