Mark your calendars! Our annual Ricky Rankin Day is May 22nd. We’re honored to host our annual free veterinary care day held in memory of Ricky—someone who truly understood the bond between people and their pets.

Ricky believed that every pet deserves access to quality veterinary care, and that love for animals shouldn’t be limited by circumstance. He had a big heart, a deep compassion for others, and a special place in it for every wagging tail and purring friend.

In his memory, we’re proud to give back to our community by providing care for pets who might otherwise go without. This day isn’t just about medicine—it’s about kindness, connection, and continuing the legacy of someone who made a lasting impact.

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Katie Washart, a 2021 graduate of Lincoln Memorial University, where she earned both her Master’s degree and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.

Originally from southern New Jersey, Dr. Washart brings 4.5 years of experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, and leadership roles—giving her a strong foundation in providing high-quality, compassionate care when pets need it most.

With Dr. Washart joining our team, we’re excited to offer more availability—including same-day appointments—so your pets can get the care they need, when they need it.

We’re thrilled to have her here serving Smith County and can’t wait for you and your pets to meet her! 💚
