Leo is our newest friend. 🥰

He’s had a little bit of an adjustment period to being at the lounge, but he’s ready to start welcoming visitors now. 😸

Come on down to the lounge to play with the kitties! We are open Wednesday-Saturday, 10:00am-5:00pm, closed 2:00-3:00 for cat naps. 😉

The adult paint night was so much fun, we decided to do a kids paint night with Wendy!🎨

They will be painting a pot, too. The design will be posted in the comments.

Ages 6-12 welcome. There are 6 kid spaces available, and one parent must stay with the child (parent gets in free with child admission). If one parent brings more than one child, I may be able to open up another one or two spaces for kids. There’s just not a lot of room in the area, so I don’t want it to get too crowded.

You will have to sign a waiver before entering the cat room. If you bring a friend’s kid, let me know ahead of time so I can send the parent a waiver. Email me at [email protected].

We will be using acrylic paint that does not wash well, so dress the kiddos in old clothes that you don’t mind getting paint on. I’ll have aprons, but you know….🫟

Cost is $28 per child and includes all materials and admission to the cat room. Plus each child will get one free beverage.

Humo (dob 9/9/25) was found in a drain pipe on the side of the road. His finder was taking a walk and spotted him, got him out, and continued with her walk only to find that the little bu**er kept following her. Realizing he must be lost, she scooped him up and brought him to the vet and got him the care he needed.

Humo did his best to play with the older cat in the home, but he wouldn't have it, and that dog was too scary, so we took him in and brought him to The Kitten Around Cat Lounge where he could have all the attention from the visitors he wanted and play with all the other felines and those toys, towers and cubby cubes! Oh my!

Sweet is an understatement and he is all in for attention, cuddles, and play. Come meet this incredible boy who will be a wonderful addition to your family.

Special needs bonded pair 💖

I know I’m looking for a needle in a haystack 😬

These sweet sisters, Buffy and Willow, are still looking for their forever home.

They were born to a feral mom, whom I trapped, fixed, and returned. They were born with microphthalmia, which means their eyeballs are smaller than normal. They can’t see very well, but they can navigate around the house okay.

They are spayed, utd on vaccines, have had monthly flea and deworm meds, and will be microchipped before adoption.

They are both sweet and playful. I have been fostering them since October and they are about 8-9 months old now. They live with other cats and one medium sized dog. They get along well with everyone.

Buffy is the loving one. She loves to be held and will jump up in your lap. She is very tolerant of my 6 year old granddaughter picking her up and carrying her around.

Willow is sweet, but is more standoffish about being picked up and held.

They love wet food! At night, when everyone gets wet food, they hover around my feet meowing and impatiently waiting their turn. They lick their bowls clean, not leaving one morsel behind.

Let's talk cat vaccines.

One of the hardest parts of rescue is denying otherwise wonderful adoption applications because current pets are not up to date on basic veterinary care and vaccines. We never enjoy doing that. But keeping our kittens safe has to come first. 🐾

Why do rescues require your current pets to be up to date on vaccines? We know it can feel unnecessary to vaccinate indoor-only cats. After all, they’re safe at home, right?

But here’s the reality: indoor cats can absolutely still be exposed to dangerous diseases.

Viruses like panleukopenia can hitch a ride into your home on shoes, clothing, hands, carriers, or even items brought in from outside. Rabies exposure can happen if a bat gets into the house (which happens more often than people think). And if an indoor cat ever slips outside unexpectedly or needs emergency boarding or vet care, vaccines become even more important.

Vaccines aren’t just about protecting one cat — they help protect ALL cats. Kittens especially are vulnerable because their immune systems are still developing (and if they're very young, they may not have had all of their core vaccines yet). Bringing a young kitten into a home with an unvaccinated adult cat can put that kitten at serious risk....and if the kitten has an undiagnosed illness, it can put the adult cat at risk as well.

Keeping cats vaccinated is one of the simplest, most effective ways to protect their health and help prevent the spread of serious illness. Even the most pampered indoor couch potato deserves that protection 💜🐱

Meet our new friend, Leo! 😻

Leo was returned through no fault of his own yesterday. 😢
He is understandably scared right now, but is doing better already today.
His previous owner said that he is great with kids, enjoys snuggles on his terms, and loves to play.
He has not been around dogs.

Leo is 3 years old, utd on vaccines, and neutered.

Come by and meet him today at the lounge! We are open until 5:00pm (closed from 2:00-3:00).
