There’s lots of things that our cats need at the shelter everyday but one thing that usually doesn’t get mentioned. Our sweet cats need “kitty petters”.

We spend a lot of our time cleaning & taking care of things that go on at the shelter leaving little time for what they never get enough of. LOVE.

So if you ever find that you might have some extra time, our cats would sure love to see you. Even if they seem a little skittish at the time, they will know you were there & gave them love. And that is just what they need the most.

Please think about it & let us know if you would like to come & see our cats. Or you can just drop by if you have a few extra minutes. Love is free but sure adds up when you’re a lonely kitty. Thank you. ❤️

Meet Louie, an adorable male Dachshund-Terrier mix. (our best guess) Louie is 4-5 months old and weighs 11 pounds.
Louie is very friendly and affectionate and loves everyone he meets. Louie is good with other dogs and children. He is Ok with cats but does like to chase them, until they correct him. Currently he is in foster care and they have a cat..
Louie is leash trained and likes going on walks. He is very smart and eager to learn. Louie is pretty well house trained and has very few accidents.

Currently, Louie is in foster care, but he spends his mornings at the shelter, eagerly awaiting his forever home.

TOKA

This is a tail wagging’ idea for our wonderful doggies here at Hearts of Hancock Humane Society!

Our doggos that we love so much here at the shelter want to spread the word about something really exciting! Read all about it!

The equipment that they are hoping for can provide ways for them to have fun & relieve stress & fear making their stay here at the shelter more positive & making them more adoptable.

Unfortunately they haven’t gathered up enough in their piggy banks yet so they are hoping maybe some donations might help.

Meet Saragi (aka Sara), a female mixed breed four-year-old pup, with a heart of gold and a playful spirit!
She is a little shy at first but once she earns your trust, she is very sweet and playful.
Saragi is around 35 # and is house trained and she loves kids.
She is a little feisty at first with other dogs but does like to play with them.

Introducing TOAST! She has been having fun playing with the water faucet while we are cleaning.

TOAST is a 1 year old tabby who is just adorable & fun to be around. She is like what some people call a Velcro cat. Meaning wherever you are that’s where she wants to be. Right next to you. She’s very talkative & her motor is always running.

Adopt TOAST. Whoever decides to add TOAST to their family is going to be lucky for sure. She says she can’t wait! 🩷
