MEET OUR NEW VETERINARIAN, Dr. Katie!

Growing up on a small farm in Girard KS where her family raised sheep, Dr. Katie went to St. Mary's Colgan in Pittsburg from kindergarten through high-school. Growing up she was active in 4-H and swam competitively.

Dr. Katie went to Allen County Community College on a meat judging scholarship. After graduation she attended Kansas State University where she was also on the meat judging team and earned her bachelor's degree.

She attended Kansas State Universityโ€™s College of Veterinary Medicine where she received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine.

She brings 13 years of experience previously working as a mixed animal veterinarian at Girard Animal Hospital.

Some of her hobbies include showing and raising AQHA horses and lambs. She currently has 7 horses and 2 mini schnauzers.

We are beyond excited for Dr. Katie to start serving you and your pets TODAY! Welcome to the Smith Pet Care Team!
