Cowboy is one of my long term horses. He’s worked a couple of times a week for upkeep. He’s an older kid who’s still got the moves when he wants 😉

First saddling on Theia! We’ve been off the past couple of days due to rain but pushed through today and it seems like it was a good day as any! She was awesome. A textbook first saddling. One small moment that we shutdown quick and pushed through. You can see the at the initial girthing up, her small moment of panic, and finishing out with some bridle work. She was so unconcerned with the saddle on her back we did next to no desensitization with it before tightening the girth down and moving out. Lots of sneezing and stretching at the trot. It’s amazing how all the pieces come together on these babies 😍

Theia is my own personal horse. She’s a newly turned 3yr old Mustang from Spruce-Pequop HMA who came out of the pens in Nebraska in late October. She’s spent most of winter growing and learning how to be a domesticated pony. I haven’t had a personal riding horse since October so I’m really excited to start working with her more!

We started working through bridle work in a halter today and introduced a saddle pad which she had no worries about. Hope to be in the saddle by the end of next week if it all works out 🥰
