I've always believed that a dog is, in so many ways, a product of their environment.
Genetics and bloodlines absolutely matter, but so does everything that comes AFTER. The time, patience, consistency, socialization, and love you pour into a dog make a world of difference in who they become.
And that starts long before a puppy ever goes home. The environment they're born into, the care their mama receives, those first few weeks of life, and the experiences they're exposed to all help lay the foundation for their future.
But it doesn't stop there. What happens in their new home matters just as much. The effort you put into raising, teaching, and understanding your dog will shape the companion they grow into.
I've watched it firsthand with my own girls. They weren't all born here at Nine Acres, but the dogs they are TODAY have been shaped by the life, care, and attention they've received here. And that's something I'm incredibly proud of.
Good dogs don't happen by accident. They're a combination of good beginnings and the love, work, and dedication that follow. 🤎
