This is what our social time looks like. No wrestling, no barking, no dominant behavior. Just a bunch of dogs who have learned how to properly socialize with one another and play nicely.

Teaching your dog how to respect boundaries of other dogs is just as important as their basic obedience commands. No one likes an obnoxious dog or a bully. This is why we teach appropriate play as well as teaching the dogs how to pick up on social cues from others so they can be respectful.

Bella's mom came down from Dickinson to work with her. Teaching owners is a huge part of their dog's success. We don't gatekeep anything. We teach everything from commands to teaching owners how to properly communicate with their dogs. We also teach them how to implement corrections and we show them how to be leaders who are capable of taking back their lives instead of having their dogs control their every move.

Buster completed his board and train and has been home for just shy of a week. We love getting updates from our clients.

Here Buster's owner spoke about the many wins they had in the short time he has been home. Barking at people was one of his issues. Also, being uncertain of kids at times was another concern they had prior to him coming to us.

This message shows how well they are working with him. Buster's one fault is his whining when he wants something and can't go get it. Problem solving is one of the ways we fix problems and his owner does a great job pointing out where he is falling short and she knows how to fix the issue.

Teaching owners to recognize their dogs' weaknesses and educating them on how to properly implement corrections and/or making changes is what helps their dogs succeed. Buster's owners are doing amazing work with him and I can't wait to get more updates on this handsome boy!

People always assume that we love what we do because we are dog lovers. While we do love dogs very much, dog training is more about people than it is about the dogs.

We are in this business to help owners keep their dogs. To help owners live harmonious lives with their dogs and truly enjoy life with them to the fullest extent.

We can train a dog to be the best dog out there, but if we don't teach their owners how to be confident leaders, their dogs will not succeed. Working with owners is the best thing about our job. We get to see their dog transform and then we get to see the owners gain confidence and truly build a lasting connection with their dogs.

Everyone remember Meeka? After a month of being home, I did her review session yesterday. Her mom rocked it! Due to her newly found confident leadership skills, Meeka is succeeding at home and in every situation her mom puts her in. They are such an amazing team! They have camping trips planned and many summer adventures coming up!

This is why I love my job and continue to do what I do!

Today I picked up Quinn and Dublin. These guys are two year old siblings. They came out of a home with 12 other dogs. In their whole two lives, they haven't been around people other then their owner. They lack a lot of socialization skills that they should have learned at a very young age.

Quinn is very standoffish. She quickly goes into flight mode when uncomfortable so we are going to start by building confidence. She is horrible on a leash as she has never been on one before. We have our work cut out with this girl.

Dublin is more social. He has his own set of issues. Needs leash manners, breaks out of his crates, is under socialized like his sister. He gets over stimulated very quickly and just can't control himself.

During the next couple of weeks we are going to be putting in some work with these two. They are up.for adoption through For Belle's Sake Animal Rescue. Reach out to them if you want a dog who's young and will be trained.
