Dogs are incredible at hiding discomfort. Pain often shows up in subtle physical and behavioral cues, not obvious signs. Posture changes, altered energy levels, restlessness, uncharacteristic aggression, or hesitation to jump or climb stairs can all point to underlying discomfort.

Join us for BUUUT Are They "Fine?" – Collaborative Advocacy for Pets Living with Pain, a specialized workshop designed for pet parents, dog trainers, behavior consultants, and veterinarians.

Attention students coming to class next week!

Quick heads-up about your drive over: our HOA road maintenance is scheduled Monday, 9/28 through Friday, 10/2 from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

The road will stay open, but here is what to keep in mind so you and your dogs have a smooth trip:

- Plan for minor delays: Expect single-lane traffic and short 5–10 minute wait times around active graders, dump trucks, and rollers.

- Drive 15 MPH or lower: Slowing down through the work zone protects your car from loose gravel and keeps the freshly graded surface smooth.

- Bonus real-world distraction: Big machinery is great for a little low-stakes exposure! If your dog spots the equipment on the way in, drop them a treat for keeping calm in the car.

Join me Mondays for Basic Manners at Diana Simonsen Dog Training!

This six week class will cover all our major life skills (loose leash walking, recall, stay, leave it) from a fun and reinforcement-based perspective. It is a great class for any dogs over 5 months who are starting out in a new home or need to brush up on their manners!
