We need a little help, friends. 🐾
Five cats were recently abandoned at the public park colonies we oversee and manage. Pam somehow got incredibly lucky and caught three young teenage cats in the very same trap! The fourth cat was a pregnant female who needed to be spayed before even more kittens were born.
All four have now been fixed and received their rabies vaccines, and one also needed flea treatment. Between yesterday and today, their vet bills totaled $817.10.
This was a huge, unexpected expense for our small, volunteer-run sanctuary and we still have one more newly abandoned cat to help.
These colonies are already managed and cared for. When people abandon new cats, it creates an immediate financial burden and puts the entire colony at risk. We will always do everything we can for them, but we truly cannot do it without our community.
