Our hearts are broken over the loss of sweet Cooper 💔🐾 RIP
We are so grateful to have had the chance to know and love this incredible dog. We will always cherish the memories — his swims in the lake, the cuddles 🥰, the mischievous side eye before making a run for the water even when it was fenced off lol, sharing biscuits, and the evening chats before he settled into bed.
He was truly one of a kind, had a wonderful life and will forever hold a special place in all our 💜s.
Thinking of everyone who loved 🙏

We feel incredibly grateful to have known and loved such an amazing dog. Things are getting exciting and moving very quickly here at Lori’s Leashes! After announcing our partnership what feels like just a few short weeks ago, we’ve been working hard behind the scenes on the growth, vision, and future of our teams.

We’re here to be your village… and that village is now extending into TWO new towns! We are beyond excited and incredibly proud to announce that Lori’s Leashes will now be offering services in both Yorktown and Brewster! 💜🐾

This expansion is something we are approaching very carefully and intentionally, because maintaining the quality of care we provide will always be our top priority. In fact, that is the exact reason we waited to expand and chose not to rush the process.

We feel incredibly passionate about the team we’ve built and the people who represent Lori’s Leashes. Every single member of our team was chosen for the qualities that truly matter to us — morals, values, integrity, generosity, compassion, reliability, and the natural ability to love and care for others. People who understand, without needing to be told, what it means to walk into someone’s home and care for a beloved furry family member. The trust that comes with that responsibility is something we never take lightly.

We truly believe we’ve carefully curated teams that allow us to finally bring our unique care, love, and services into new communities! We cannot wait to meet all of the new families and their pups along the way!

Most importantly, we want to personally thank our amazing LL clients; clients who have truly become family. Considering that the majority of our growth has come from word-of-mouth support throughout our community, we quite literally would not be where we are today without each and every one of YOU.

“They say it takes a village…” 💜🐾 Well, sometimes that village looks like helping get your pup safely to/from daycare, the groomer, or the vet when life gets hectic.

Here at Lori’s Leashes, we offer a wide variety of services — many that people don’t even realize we provide! Today, we wanted to shine a light on one of our favorites: Pet Taxi Services! 🚗🐶

Let’s be honest… there simply are not enough hours in the day. Between work, appointments, meetings, school schedules, sports, errands, and trying to make time for family, life can feel nonstop — especially for parents!
That’s where we come in.

Lance is one of our regular Pet Taxi clients! While Lance and his sister Winnie absolutely LOVE their daily walks and routines with Miss Kimberly… Lance is a big boy with lots of energy who thrives on extra stimulation and socialization. His owner loves sending him to daycare 1–2 times a week so he can run, play, and enjoy time with other pups!
Instead of rushing out of work, leaving a meeting early, or rearranging an already packed day to pick Lance up, Miss Kimberly has it covered. And if Lance is extra lucky? He may even score a Dunkin’ pup cup on the ride home. 👅
Whether it’s daycare, a grooming appointment, or a vet visit, we’ll safely transport your fur baby to and from their appointments while also handling the little responsibilities that come along with them — paperwork, instructions, check-ins, and more.
Once home, we make sure they get a potty walk in and are safely tucked back into their home.
Our goal is simple: to make your life easier while ensuring your pets continue receiving the love, care, and attention they deserve. Sometimes being “the village” means giving our clients one less thing to stress about and one more moment to breathe.
No matter the circumstance, we pride ourselves on caring for the unique individual needs of every single one of our furry (and human) clients. 💜🐾

Lori’s Leashes is looking for another dog lover, cat kisser, or animal officianado! Our furry family keeps growing and we are looking for that next right person to fit our team. We are in need of an additional team member to help us serve the Carmel area!

This could be a great opportunity for moms looking to make some extra money or something nice to do while the kiddos are at school. We are women owned, family/motherhood oriented, and certainly not your typical 9-5.

We are looking for someone whom goes the extra mile because they WANT to, not because they are trained to. Someone who when they arrive for a walk sees the client’s garbage cans on the ground and fixes it OR sees a package by the door and brings it in as they begin their walk. We are there to be their village, to care for their furry loved ones and their home- when they aren’t.

This position will start off part time and can lead to full time, including possible weekend shifts.

🐶What this FUN gig entails!
- Being with animals (Mainly dogs & Cats, we can work around cat allergies, but not dog.)
- Being out in nature & getting exercise, while getting paid!
- Flexible scheduling. Allowing you to still have time to yourself, your family, and to run errands.
- Competitive pay; you get paid per walk! (Each walk is typically 30 minutes).
- 100% of any tips received! (Venmo is often used.)
- FULLY INSURED while on the job.

🐈What we NEED from you:
- Reliable transportation!! (Absolute must, no flexibility on this. Most walks will be within approximately 15 minute radius of your home.)
- A valid drivers license & a clean record.
- Open communication & reliable phone plan/coverage. This job requires open communication with our clients and us. You will need to pay attention to your messages, even when you’re not working. If you are not working, we of course do not expect immediate responses, but 5 hours later will not suffice. (Usually for add on walks or scheduling questions)
- A TRUE love for animals of all kinds!

“I’ve got the pleasure of walking Roadie for almost a year. He will greet you with the biggest stretch and bring one of his babies over to you to show how happy he is to see you! For his age, he’s got some crazy high jumps and some serious speed! Age is just a number to this sweet crazy boy! He thinks he’s a lap dog… which is the most adorable thing ever, because he just wants to love on you! He loves a game of tag; knowing that you will NEVER catch him.. so it’s basically just chase haha. One of his most favorite things to do is sit right next to you, take in the sun and everything in between. What more can you ask for?
He’s a reminder to slow it down it and take it all in. I’m looking forward to our relationship growing even stronger - if that’s even possible!” 💜

But I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else in life 💜🐾Thank you for letting me love on your babies, but most of all, for letting them love on me during a time in life I needed it most.

We hear the snow is comin’! ❄️☃️ We’ve only had a small taste of what’s to come they say..
So here is a friendly, gentle, but blunt reminder - Pet Friendly salt doesn’t negate paw care in the winter! We have heard and seen this time and time again. Yes, Pet Friendly salt can minimize burning, but it can still cause them a lot of pain, discomfort, and even cause infections!
Another reminder: Just because your complex may be pet friendly, it is HIGHLY unlikely their salt is.

This post is not to make you avoid using salt, as that is even more dangerous and could cause them to slip and severely hurt themselves. One of the most common injuries for dogs, related to ice are torn ligaments.

Can you imagine being hurt or uncomfortable and NOT be able to voice that to someone 😭 So let’s do our duties and give those paws some love and attention 💜🐾

Hi LL Village! 💜 We have a bit of unforeseen and unfortunate circumstances for these two beautiful babies! Luna (Grey Tiny Female, 1.5 YO) and Caboose (Grey & White Male, 1.5 YO) are looking for their forever home, because the current family who owns them has a Mamabear who learned the hard way that she is extremely allergic to cats (& now dogs too). Mama has been through the wringer trying everything she could to lesson her reactions and be able to keep these cute beautiful babies for her own kiddos.. but unfortunately it’s just not working. THEY MUST BE ADOPTED TOGETHER! They are very attached to one another! Luna is extremely playful wanting to make you smile at every turn, Caboose is more of your cuddle buddy- both extremely affectionate and wonderful with kids! They are all up to date on vaccinations.
