Over the past 23 years, a lot has changed at Dogs On The Run®. More qualified independent Pet Care Professionals, more services offered, and more Pet Parents putting their trust in us.

What hasn’t changed is the pride we take in our work! With a dedicated support and admin team, we strive to not only make expert matches between Pet Parents and Pet Care Professionals, but also to stay in the background, keeping an eye on communication and making sure services continue to exceed expectations.

Thank you, Becky, for putting your trust in us!

There are many reasons to join Goup Dog Training classes at Dogs On The Run®, but the upcoming holidays might be the best one to build strong basics and a reliable recall!

Saturdays start with Building Basics at 9am and covers the foundations. Focus, confidence, and the cues you will use for the rest of your dog's life. Rapid Recall follows at 10:30am and builds a come-when-called that holds up through distance, speed, and distraction.

Both classes run Saturdays, October 24 through November 21, at our Carlsbad HQ.

Holiday plans have a way of coming together late. Holiday pet care does not.

If you are traveling between now and the new year, this is the moment to sort out who is staying with your pets. Boarding, full-time care, and overnight stays all fill up well before the first flight leaves.

Our Concierge Team can help you find a independent Pet Care Professional whose availability fits your dates, so the only thing left to plan is everything else.

It is National Walk Your Dog Week, which is really just permission to do the thing your dog has been asking for since breakfast. 🐕

Every photo here came from a real walk with a real independent Pet Care Professional, sent to a Pet Parent who happened to be somewhere else that day. The sniffing, the stopping, the deeply serious inspection of one particular bush. All of it documented. 📸

Your dog could be in the next one!

Most pet emergencies are not accidents in the way we usually think of accidents.

They are open gates, unsecured trash, something left within reach, a harness that fits a little loose. Small things that only have to become big things once.

Our latest article walks through the most common preventable emergencies and the ordinary habits that stop them before they start.

Happy World Animal Day! 🐓🐶🐱

Our name says dogs. The reality is a longer list: Cats, birds, rabbits, reptiles, and plenty of others, each with their own routines, their own preferences, and someone at home who thinks about them all day.

Every animal in this video is somebody's whole heart!

There’s something special about knowing your dogs are not just being cared for, but genuinely loved.

Janet’s review of her experience with Melissa speaks to exactly that. She noticed the little things: the relaxed, happy expressions on her dogs’ faces, the trust they had in Melissa, and the thoughtful updates that kept her and her daughter connected while they were away.

That kind of relationship is what makes exceptional pet care feel different. It’s attention to detail, genuine connection, and a true love for dogs, all working together to give Pet Parents peace of mind.
We’re so grateful for Pet Parents who take the time to share what that experience means to them. 🤍

Thank you, Janet, for trusting Dogs On The Run® with your pups.

Tatiana spent five years with Dogs On The Run® before, and we could not be happier to have her back as our Concierge and Reservations Specialist. She brings more than 15 years in operations and client service, a calm and organized way of handling whatever a day throws at her, and a real understanding of how this community works, because she helped build part of it.

In her words, it feels special to return to a place she already cares this much about. We feel the same way.

Welcome back, Tatiana. And hello, Poppy.
