It has been three weeks since we got the worst call imaginable on the morning of July 5th.
Our beautiful tech Samanda, had been killed in a hit and run right in front of her family.
She wasn’t doing anything wrong. Her day started out like millions of other Americans’ Fourth of July.
It was a normal, beautiful sunny day followed by a night of fireworks with her loved ones. But this one ended in tragedy.
Around 10:50 p.m., Miguel Angel Bermudez Miranda, came speeding down Forni Road in his gray Jeep Cherokee.
He wrecked into her and her family, who were parked in a designated parking area at Sixth Mile Dam.
To make matters worse, he tried to keep driving. He kept his foot all the way down on the gas pedal despite both vehicles being totaled and entangled.
He kept trying to run from the obvious trauma he caused right in front of him.
He was so drunk he had to be pulled from the vehicle by the victims.
Despite multiple efforts to keep him there, he fled on foot as they tried to save Samanda’s life.
Shortly after, he was picked up in the area, by an accomplice.
Since then, I’ve learned he was talking to multiple women in New Mexico, as many have reached out with details but want to remain anonymous.
If you are a woman who is talking to him too, I am here to tell you that you are not the only one.
Apparently he is quite the ladies’ man and very good at lying.
Throughout this process, we have learned where he was living, where he was working, that he has family in the area.
He supposedly fled to another country immediately after the crash.
A few women said he claimed to be from Chihuahua.
He also had a lengthy history of lying about his identity and age.
He told multiple women different ages.
He claimed to be 19 sometimes and 20 other times.
Law enforcement verified him to be 23.
So what does this tell me?
There are people in this community who are connected to him, yet many are not coming forward with more information.
Why do we only have two photos?
Especially in a time when photos are shared, posted, and taken nonstop.
I have a screenshot of his deactivated Instagram, but we all know he had other social medias.
I know there are more connections to him than people are admitting.
Someone doesn’t just disappear. Let’s be real.
This is my call to those connected to Miguel.
Please share all you know with the Eddy County Sheriffs Office.
Be courageous.
Act with integrity.
Share more photos.
Share as much information as possible.
If you are staying silent and you know information, it is pointless because slowly but surely people are uncovering it.
In the end, if you helped him hide, you will be exposed.
Come forward. Tell the truth. Share the details. Do the right thing.
Like so many others who loved Samanda, I am sick knowing he has not been arrested.
She deserved better.
She didn’t deserve what happened to her.
No one does.
She deserves justice.
This is not going away.
Below you will see the face of the killer on this post.
