Lots of progress made on the new home of C-Town Aquatic Pets! Not complete but just might open the new location this year yet.

Got all electric, hvac, drywall, texture and first coat of primer applied (still need to finish corners).

Last but NOT least, I have somewhere around a dozen 3”+ OB Red Peacocks if you’re looking.

Facebook keeps telling me I haven’t posted in a long while , so here we go.

Garage storefront is coming along (slowly) but still working through electric and drywall without heat yet….🥶

If you are a looking 1-2” OB Reds, Reds, Flametail….I got plenty starting to color up. I also have over 300 fry-juvies that should be mature once the store opens in ~April/May.

This expanded space will be a game changer on what I can carry and can’t wait till it is ready.

Just wanted to provide an update. Phase one of new shop is nearing completion. Talk about cramming 10 lbs of manure in a 5 lb bag…onto electric and more drywall.

Been collecting lots of tanks to prepare for the expansion.

I’m still breeding these “junk fish” if you are looking for a great deal!!!

Might be an inside joke there.🤣

There have been a lot of reports of people getting scammed with online orders. The common response is “only buy” from big breeders or the ones that post pictures of orders they are shipping out to drum up more business. This makes it almost impossible to get into online sales, hence me closing my Shopify site.

These breeders also are charging anywhere from $10-15/in. These prices are rediculous for freshwater fish.

I’m here to say that my fish may not be show winners, but I can guarantee the best price, quality and care I put into these fish. I can guarantee if something goes wrong and it is my fault, I will make it right even if I lose money.

All that said…I’m in the process of framing out my garage to expand what I can breed and carry. Now I may not have several big metal buildings, but my expenses are low and my pricing $5/in reflects that.

I know you have all warned me not to do business with Iowa Pet Foods and Seacapes and you were right.

As of today, I will no longer set foot, let alone buy or provide my beautiful Cichlids to this establishment and I’m not going to go into detail, cause it matters not.

Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend this LFS and suggest you avoid purchasing any aquatic life from them.

All that said, if you want to buy “Pet Smart” level Cichlids at double the price, feel free to continue to support them. If you want great Cichlids at “Pet Smart” prices and great customer service, I got you.

Otherwise, the only LFS I would recommend is in Johnston and hoping to provide them with some great fish in the future.
