🐾 HAPPY FRIDAY! 🐾

Sylvie decided that the best way to say hello was to come right up to the counter! ❤️

We certainly don’t mind a little extra help at the front desk!

Hope everyone has a happy Friday filled with lots of tail wags, belly rubs, and good company!

We wanted to keep our clients informed about some recent changes to emergency clinic hours in the surrounding areas.

While Macoupin Veterinary Services does not see after-hours emergencies, we want to make sure you know where to turn if your pet needs urgent care outside of our regular business hours.

One local emergency clinic, Hawthorne of Glen Carbon, has recently updated their hours. Please take a moment to review their new schedule so you know what options are available: Effective September 1st, Hawthorne will no longer provide 24 hour emergency care. Emergency services will no longer be available from 7:00pm to 7:00am.

Updated emergency clinic hours for the surrounding areas can be found here: https://www.macoupinveterinaryclinic.com/contact.html

As always, we appreciate you trusting us with the care of your pets. We want to do everything we can to help keep both you and your pets prepared! 🐾❤️

We are unfortunately having to close the clinic today due to the power outage and the lack of an estimated time for restoration of service.

If your pet had an appointment scheduled for today, we will contact you tomorrow to reschedule.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

08/24/2026

Our power is currently out and it is unknown when it will be restored. Unfortunately, we do not have access to our schedule or our patients' medical records, so please be patient with return calls. We are waiting to see an estimated time for restoration to determine if we will remain open or not. We will keep our page updated.

Back to School! 📚

Two of our student employees headed back to school last week!

Emma is beginning her final year of vet tech school at Murray State University, while Riley is starting her second year of veterinary school at the University of Illinois.

We loved having both of them with us this summer and will miss them around the clinic! We are so proud of all they have accomplished and wish them both a wonderful year of learning and growth.

Good luck, Emma & Riley! We’re cheering you on! 🐾❤️

We celebrated the last day of work for Isabella as she heads off to begin an exciting new chapter...veterinary school!

It’s hard to say goodbye to someone who has become such an important part of our MVS family. We have loved watching Isabella grow in her knowledge, skills, and confidence. She has worked hard, learned so much, and has been such a dedicated member of our team. We are going to miss her greatly!

While we are sad to see her go, we couldn’t be more excited for what lies ahead. Congratulations, Isabella, we are so proud of you!

Please join all of us at Macoupin Veterinary Services in wishing Isabella the very best as she begins her studies at the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine! 🐯🐾
