PLEASE READ AND SHARE!! VERY important lessons to be learned from this story! This sweet boy named Rocky has been missing from his home for over a month. He has lived inside since the age of 6 weeks old. He went outside to potty, and disappeared. He went missing in LAKE CHARLES, but was found in SUNSET, 1 1/2 hours away! Luckily for Rocky, he was microchipped and the owner had kept his contact information current!!! We don't know how he ended up so far from home, but he is home now!

LESSON #1--MICROCHIP YOUR PET! Here's an inside dog that probably decided to chase a cat or a squirrel and got lost or picked up. It doesn't matter that your pet spends a minimal amount of time outside of your home, anything can happen and it happens very quickly. Microchips WILL get you reunited with your pet! They SAVE LIVES!

LESSON #2--KEEP FOUND ANIMALS IN THE AREA YOU FIND THEM! Many times a good samaritan will see a stray animal and assume it's been dumped or abandoned, and take it miles away from where it was found. Report the animal or bring it to the shelter in the City or Parish that it was found. That's where an owner will be looking for their pet. Rocky's owner never thought of looking for him so far away.
