Howdy partners! Our Hospital Manager’s dog, Scrappy, and our hospital kitty, Delilah, wanted to take a minute to remind you all that February is National Pet Dental Health Awareness Month!
Scrappy, at 14, has received routine dental care and has a very cute smile. Sometimes her tongue sticks out, but that’s okay because we had to remove some of her canine teeth that were infected, causing more harm than good to her! While she is missing quite a few of her teeth, she is still extremely food motivated and prefers her kibble over anything else!
At 13, Delilah is one of the few cats at her age to have good oral health. We do still plan on cleaning her teeth this dental month to ensure those teeth stay healthy and the tartar and bacteria is cleared away!
During the month of February, if you book a dental with us, you will receive $125 off the total of your bill!! Call us today to book an appointment.

Puppy of the week! 😻🐾
This is Louie, an 11 week old French Bulldog. Louie came in for his DAPP and Bordetella vaccines, and was a very brave boy for his treatments! He got lots of love and some hypoallergenic treats from the staff.

Meet our patient of the week!
This is miss Zoi. Zoi is a Sulcata Tortoise. She has a rare shell deformity, causing her shell to grow inwards instead of out, pushing on her internal organs. To try and remedy this, Dr. Cupka has made Zoi a special brace around her shell that we tighten every few weeks to reverse the growth of her shell out.
Zoi has a very big personality and loves to try walking away from us as we’re working on her, so we suspend her in the air with some canned food! She is a very sweet girl, and we are hopeful this procedure will help extend her life span and overall comfort!

This is Gymie, a sweet and gentle 18yr old kitty cat, who loves chin scratches while he gets his subcutaneous fluids every other day. This handsome little man has been our patient since 2021 and is being treated for chronic kidney disease (CKD); this is very common in older cats. Although there is no cure for CKD, if detected early it can be managed with medications, fluids under the skin and even special diets in order to help them maintain a good quality of life. Like our Gymie who still loves to hunt mice and lizards! 💗🐱
