The little kitty on the right is Jack. This sweet 16 year old cat escaped from a window yesterday in the area of Ocean House Road, on Rt. 77, in between Davcarley Road and Mitchell Road. If you live in the area, please check your garages, sheds, under porches, and in your basements. Jack may be hiding. If you find Jack, please reach out to us at 207-799-6952. Did you just get a new puppy? We LOVE puppies!

Come and join our puppy training class here at VRCCE. The training starts at 6:30 pm and will run for 4 weeks on Tuesdays, September 15, 22, 29 and October 6. Puppies who are 8 - 16 weeks old are welcome. Our behavior consultant, Jocelyn Strassel, moved to Maine from Boston where she worked as a Clinical Behaviorist at MSPCA/Angell for 9 years.

Our 4-week small group (5 puppies max) puppy classes provide puppies with a safe and fun opportunity to socialize with other puppies and new people while providing their caretakers with information on how to socialize their puppies outside of class as well. We will also cover basic training for both obedience and other life skills (such as handling, nail trims, etc.) as well as prevention and management of common puppy problems.

*To keep everyone safe, puppies will need their first vet exam, distemper and bordetella vaccines, f***l testing, and deworming to enroll.

TRAINING FEE: $200.00

This is Jasper. A pup of many talents who brings great joy to everyone at the clinic the minute he walks in with his mom. Jasper has been coming to us for vet care and training since he was a tiny little baby boy. He came in for his annual exam today and to celebrate his 1st birthday with us. Congratulations Jasper!

Please meet Winston; the sweetest little French Bulldog. Winston came to Veterinary & Rehabilitation for his first puppy exam when he was just an itty-bitty 2 months old. At 4 months old, he has started to take on a few hobbies: swimming, boating, sunning, dressing in the latest Dogue fashion, getting cozy on his human, taking naps with his human, napping on his human's sneaker, dreaming about cookies.

Rewards-Based Basic Obedience Class: Starts WEDNESDAY, September 16th, from 6:30 - 7:30 pm for 6 weeks at our Cape Elizabeth Clinic at 207 Ocean House Road.

Just 4 dogs in the class for a lot of individualized attention from Jocelyn.

Join us for a fun, training class where you will learn how to effectively train your dog in a supportive small group setting. You and your dog will work as a team to learn essential behaviors like:

+sit

+down

+stay

+come

+“leave it”

+“place” (long down/stay on a mat)

and polite leash walking.

Expect a bonding opportunity for you & your dog with lots of laughs, wags, and practical skills you’ll use every day! This class is open to dogs over 6 months, including those entering adolescence, new to your family, or just in need of a refresher on the basics. Dogs must be comfortable working around other dogs and meeting new people in a class setting.

*To keep everyone safe, all dogs need to be up to date on their rabies, distemper & bordetella vaccines, with a negative f***l test to enroll.
