We think every month is Dog Month, but nationally, August is the month to celebrate our canine companions! And what better way to celebrate than by helping a shelter dog find a forever home?

August is also Clear the Shelters month, and we’re getting ready for our big event on Saturday, August 15, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Lee County Domestic Animal Services!

Adoption fees will be WAIVED on event day with an approved application.

Planning to join us? We strongly recommend completing your adoption application online at LeeLostPets.com and stopping by the shelter ahead of the event to get your approval pass. This will help make the adoption process faster on event day!

Every adoption will also receive a goodie bag, and the first cat adoption and the first small, medium and large dog adoptions will receive an additional basket of goodies.

There are so many amazing dogs, cats and kittens waiting for their families. Help us Clear the Shelters and give a shelter pet the happy ending they deserve!
