Saturday was a fun day. Emma tried 2 point without stirrups for the first time (it’s quite hard), I taught another student how to teach a horse how to teach a lesson 🤪 AND I found Barry taking a nap on some chicken eggs. 💕

Meet my newest employee in training, Honey Kid! It was kind of difficult to find saddles that fit her. And I’m sure once she gains weight, I’ll have to do it all over again! Enjoy watching my struggle.

Bri has to go home to help her mom with lessons, so Emma got to have one last ride on her today. They’ve done so much together this past year. However, cantering (on purpose) was not one of those things until today! I’m proud of them both, and we will miss Bri being an employee here. She is very loved 🩷💜

After Emma cantered, she said “That was so big!” Bri does have a very interesting feeling canter 😋

Buuuusy week! Lots of lessons, lots of hot weather, and getting ready for the show this weekend. Sometimes you just gotta play some tag and have some fun. ☀️🐴

This past weekend was the first Big 5 Horse Show of the season, and Miss Emma’s first time showing EVER!! She pushed past her nerves and I am so proud of her for getting in the ring. So thankful that Kate with Palo Duro Equestrian Center could be in the ring too to give emotional support to both Emma and her horse. We’ve got a list of things to work on for our next show! 💪🏻

Who says no-stirrup work is only for November?

Weather like this is my favorite. It’s also pretty good for riding! 🌥️🌧️ This girl is 2 lessons in and doing great!
