May 2026: Meet Scout! Scout is a 9 year old Poodle Mix! She's a sweetie who comes to see us regularly! Her parents take great care of her by getting her annual exams and lab work to ensure she is healthy! We offer annual comprehensive lab work. This lab work checks organ function (like liver and kidneys), complete blood count, metabolic health, thyroid and urinalysis. We highly recommend this for patients 6 years and older. It's an easy blood draw that goes to the lab and you have your pet's results within a few days! We're glad Scout is doing well!

We’ve been celebrating our sweet Customer Service Representatives — Noelle + Stephanie! 🤗

They’re the first and last to leave, bringing the clinic to life each day and putting it to bed each night, keeping us organized and on schedule, there for our clients through professional communication and support, juggling many phone calls, emails and requests, the best greeters and treat givers... the quarter back of the team... the list goes on... we couldn't do it without them! Thank you for all that you do! It does not go unnoticed!

Please help us shower them with love and appreciation! ❤️

April 2026: Meet Reese! Reese is a 13 & 1/2 year old Dachshund who comes to see us regularly for Laser Therapy. Dachshunds are notorious for needing extra love and care for their long backs. Laser therapy for dogs is a safe, non-invasive, drug-free treatment that
helps to reduce pain and inflammation. It uses light to stimulate cells, speeding up healing and increasing mobility, making it highly effective for arthritis, wound healing, and post-surgical recovery. We enjoy Reese when she comes to see us!

We’ve seen our fair share of rattlesnake bites - especially this time of year! Be sure to follow these tips to protect your pets!

🐍 Keep an eye on your pet when they are roaming the yard.

🐍 Discourage your pet from sniffing in tall grass or under rocks as this is where snakes gravitate towards.

🐍 Keep your pet on a short leash on walks.

🐍 Consider the Rattlesnake Vaccine (ask Dr. Buntain or Dr. Grant if your pet is a good candidate!)

🐍 Consider specialized rattlesnake aversion training if your pet is in snaky situations often.

Like people, dogs can stumble upon a snake by accident. Your dog's curiosity or protective instinct can put them at further risk. Even if your dog is vaccinated against rattlesnake venom, he or she should be taken to a veterinarian for evaluation and care as soon as possible following the snake bite.

It’s Easter !! Which also means it’s Lily season!

Please keep in mind that some varieties of Lily plants can be toxic to animals - especially cats!

The entire lily plant can be toxic: the stem, leaves, flowers, pollen, and even the water in a vase. Eating just a small amount of a leaf or flower petal, licking a few pollen grains off its fur while grooming, or drinking the water from the vase can be toxic. It can cause kidney failure in some cases. The most common clinical signs to look for are vomiting, decreased appetite and lethargy.

Please be sure to keep pets away from these plants this spring season. You can visit the ASPCA's website for more info on specific plants that are most toxic. If you have any concerns that your pet may have ingested a toxic plant, please give us or the local pet ER a call.
