🩺 That’s a wrap on our summer externs!
We’ve loved having students along for the ride this summer. By welcoming them as part of our team, we get the opportunity to not only teach hands-on skills, but also show them just how rewarding large animal medicine can be.

A huge thank you to our clients as well for welcoming our students onto your farms and being such an important part of their hands-on learning experience! 💚

While so much of this job is filled with wellness visits and smiles, some days end with helping a beloved animal pass peacefully, surrounded by love. These moments never get easier, but it is an incredible privilege to be trusted with an animal's final act of kindness and to support the families who love them. As a Christian, I hold onto the promise that God walks with us through every season. Even in grief, He offers peace, comfort, and the strength to make difficult decisions with love and compassion.

Tonight's sunset was a gentle reminder of His peace and His presence…exactly what I needed after leaving that farm.
