Back at it. Traveling again so doing drop ins. I have been to this gym before as a white belt. So might as well stick with what I know is good. Tonight had a great class. There was 8-9 black belts on the mat. Plenty of purple and blue belts too. The instruction was good. I like how the instructor ran the class. It was a good time. I will be back again tomorrow night for a no gi class. Oh and this is a police owned gym. I like it.

This is my second time down here to teach my e collar class. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite places to teach. Dothan PD K9 and the surrounding agencies are thirsty for learning. They have an amazing facility that would make any unit jealous. Their trainers know their s**t yet they still bring in all kinds of instructors. I did this class in 2024 and the guys that were in it stopped by. They are still using the stuff I taught them on the daily. New guys in this class are in good hands. It’s so refreshing to see an agency that supports K9 instead of making them the bastard children. Gold work boys. I see you.

Another E Collar Without Conflict seminar in the books. These guys and gals down here in Texas work hard. The dogs are proof. I like that every one of them have attended numerous seminars put on by the biggest names in the industry. They are always learning. Always improving. Keep killing it guys.

Usually I will try to do drop ins at a couple gyms when I am out of town but when I find a good one I just go there. Three nights in a row at in Sterling Heights, Michigan. Great classes, great instruction, and a great culture. Thanks guys for inviting me in and not killing an old man.

Flew to Maine Tuesday evening. Taught Wednesday and Thursday. Last night after class I flew out here to Sacramento, Ca. Got in late. Up early and hitting the gym. I haven’t done box jumps in awhile. Glad to see the 30” is still doable (my PR is 42 #.) The issue is though I have a 30” inseam so getting down is fun. The second video shows I can still launch from a distance but need a little work on a wobbly box.

Just finished another great e collar seminar. This time it was my Advanced E Collar Without Conflict class for handlers who have been through my original e collar seminar. It’s my second time in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin with these teams. I really like this group. They work hard. I threw a lot at them. Teaching long distance, out of sight, outs. Using tone to get a non verbal out in a tactical environment as well as using the e collar in all aspect of their work. Some of the scenarios are for the dog and some are for the handler. Some are for the team as a whole. Thanks again to Kari and Charlie at .us for having me out and trusting me, again, with their teams.
