A quick update from Georgia Rat Rescue πβ€οΈ
First, thank you!!π The response to our recent post has been incredible. We are still working through donation offers, supply pickups, wish list purchases, and coordinating transportation to get items where they need to go. If you've reached out and haven't heard back yet, please know we're getting there!
β That said, our biggest need right now is adopters β
We are currently sitting on a very full house, with some truly wonderful rats waiting for families. The market may be flooded right now, but these little souls still deserve their chance.
Currently available or coming available soon:
π Several beautiful girls from our Big Cheesy litter
π Multiple sweet female pairs at several foster home locations
π A lovey, social single boy available soon
π A group of four fun young adult boys available this weekend
π Two groups of girls of mixed ages and personalities available soon
π An incoming litter of babies
We will also be assisting our local county shelter partners with placement efforts for seven girls recently removed from a really difficult situation. Rats do not belong in shelters, and many are not equipped to handle their care οΏΌand we're committed to helping them find the homes they deserve.
Many of these rats would be excellent companions for first-time owners, families, or those looking to expand existing groups. Most would also do well with introductions to other rats. While some groups may be split, we strongly encourage keeping bonded pairs and family groups together whenever possible.
β> To help get these rats into homes, we'll be reducing adoption fees on select cases through the end of the month of June through the 4th of July weekend.π
Our available listings will be fully updated on Monday, but if you're interested in adopting, fostering, or learning more, please email us now at π§ [email protected] to get the conversation started.
Please share, comment, and help us spread the word. πβ€οΈ
