Some of you may have already heard, but we are switching platforms! We will be switching from Pawfinity to Moego.

Why this is great -

♡ You as the client will be able to access your pups profile easier. "I didn't even know my dog had a profile." Yes, because Pawfinity was not as client friendly as originally thought, and was difficult to access.

♡ Requesting appointments will be a breeze! And, unlike Pawfinity, Moego will actually tell me when someone has messaged the automated line, and make sure that I'm kept in the loop so I don't miss y'all talking to me.

♡ Gone will be the days of me having to type in your debt/credit cards information! We will now have a simple, and sleek card reader with tap technology for your convenience.

I'm looking forward to this upgrade, and I hope you guys are too. If you already have appointments scheduled, in a couple weeks, you will receive a new confirmation text from a different number telling you that your appointment is scheduled. This is your cue letting you know that Moego is launched.

Pixie doesn't agree that she was dirty enough to warrant a bath, but unfortunately, I disagree. 🤭

My boy Wayne hopped in the trailer a few days ago and got pampered. I love getting the chance to work on a groom that I wouldn't normally get to do with just pet trims. This is a traditional continental cut for poodles!

Let's talk about post grooming alopecia! This type of alopecia can happen when a double coated breed gets cut or shaved too close too the skin. The delicate undercoat hair follicles can have themselves a bit of a meltdown when clipped too close, and can grow slower, or stop growing all together. It can happen after one shave, or multiple times, and can be fairly unpredictable, as experts are unsure why the follicles stop cooperating.

Kirby here is an example of post grooming alopecia. He had been clipped closer to the skin for the majority of his life by other groomers, until one day his hair stopped growing. Not completely, but the majority of the damaged hair was on his neck, back and sides. So now to tidy him up, we even everything out to match the length of hair that just won't grow.
