🌞As temperatures start to rise, it’s important to keep pet safety in mind.☀ This pet heat index chart provides helpful guidance for assessing when it may be too hot for your pet to safely spend time outdoors.

To help keep pets safe in the heat, provide fresh water and shade at all times, limit activity during peak temperatures, avoid hot pavement that can burn paws, and watch for signs of overheating like heavy panting, drooling, or lethargy.

Say hi to Major! This sweet guy has been stuck in boarding since Halloween of 2025. He is the goodest boy- he is well behaved and loves people! Although Major is well loved and cared for at the boarding facility, he would love to find his furever home or a foster to stay with! Reach out to Save 1 at a Time if you want to help him!

He also is being sponsored by a class of first graders at a local school- they would love to see him find his home before the end of the school year 🐶

Congratulations to Mille and Simba! 🥳🥳. They both graduated from Puppy Preschool this week. I am so proud of them (and their parents!) and have loved seeing them grow! 💙

Meet Blue and Dice! Both of these babies are looking for their forever families!

💙Now that all of Blue’s babies have found their homes, she is ready for hers! She is a sweet, excitable girl who loves toys and can’t wait to snuggle with you on the couch 💙

🎲Dice is a handsome young man who is ready for adventure! He loves to be outdoors and gets the zoomies easily! He is a little shy at first- but once he gets to know you he wants to be right by your side 🎲

Both of these pups are at Cherokee County Animal Shelter and would love for you to come by and see them!

I am thrilled to announce our collaboration with Cherokee County Animal Shelter ! Hearth and Hound will be sponsoring a few dogs who are looking for their furever families.
