The Kitten League We're a group of passionate individuals dedicated to providing better futures for unwanted kittens. We operate solely on donations. We are a 501c3 organization.

It might seem like we've been on vacation. I haven't posted for some time.
Well, vacation is NOT the case.
We've all just been so focused(exhausted)on our kitten litters that extra time isn't an option.

We've had some struggles, lots of lost sleep, nightly alarms and warming milk for all the supplemental or bottle kit feeds. Lots of p**p, mess and meds.

We currently have 9 litters of kits and I'm happy to report, I think we've made it through the worst.

Thank you to everyone who's sent supplies and written encouragement.

I've learned to take kittens a day at a time, looking too far ahead and you can miss what's in front of you.

We have some beautiful kitties growing up with some available within a month.

Sappy Post Alert

I had a rather nostaglic morning. As I watched the morning sun climb, waiting to give my diabetic cat his insulin at HIS time, I was reminded of how amazing life can be.
Rescue can be a cruel reminder of the circle of life...but also a testiment to miracles.

I don't think I say it out loud enough, how incredible people can be. Simple acts of kindness return ten fold...unexpected and truly life altering. I and The Kitten League have been so blessed by compassion and generosity and just when I think my "well" has run dry, another miracle.

We aren't the biggest organization and fighting the feeling like we're not doing enough with every request we have to turn away, is so hard. In the last day, 4 Kitten requests. But, I must remain available for my group and that means manageable numbers. With kittens, there always seems to be bumps that need flattening.
I can't thank my fosters and volunteers enough for their focus and dedication.

But, this isn't a ME post this is a YOU post. To everyone who gives, sends kind words, kitten updates, donates supplies or funds, YOU keep us going. Amazon donations that sadly come with no name to thank...THANK YOU.

I tend to ramble so I'll wrap this up by saying the biggest THANK YOU to all of you..success is multi-faceted beyond explanation.

Heather is set up at Canton's Farmers Market selling annuals leftover from our plant sale.
She'll be there until 7pm, or until she sells out.
It's a beautiful evening!
The Corndog Company food truck is there too!

There's 28 petunia pots, 5 coleus/impatiens and 6 marigolds.

We're deep into kitten season!
We have close to 40 kittens, several moms, and one mama cat that we believe might be growing the largest kittens on record with how long her pregnancy is going 😂
So what a perfect time for Amazon to be having their Pet Days!
We updated our wish list with some items that are on sale.
Obviously food is always our biggest need, but there's some other oddball items that would be great to stock up on while they're on sale.
We appreciate all of our supporters, donors, and fosters! We can't do what we do this time of the year without all of the amazing community support ❤️

A huge thank you to our new partner, Feeding Furry Friends, as well as the Greater Good Charities program, Chewy, PetSmart Charities, and other donors to this amazing group.

The kitties are already approving a portion of our allocation and we're excited for all that is to come from this partnership.

Feeding Furry Friends (MN Ambassador for GOODS) utilizes large amounts of donated items and redistributes to approved organizations. What a blessing!

We are so happy The Kitten League finally made it to the top of the wait list.

Our volunteers made the trip to Maple Grove, MN and met some amazing volunteers there who assist in pickups. Thank you Amy and your crew for being so kind. We can't wait for our next visit!

Now that we've had a day to rest we just wanted to give our sincerest thank you to everyone that come out to our plant sale and those who made it possible.
Thanks to Southeast Tech Horticulture Technology Program for the flower plugs. We were able to increase our sales by 1.5x compared to last year. Heather and Russ for taking care of them and transporting them. Melissa's mother Mary Kay for also potting up and taking care of the plugs AND bringing most of the perennials.

A huge thank you to Dr Elise at Beresford Vet Clinic PC for her(and Ethan's) donation of the amazing potted succulents. They're always a highlight of the event.

Thanks to Carla's Flower Farm, The Flower Mill - Sioux Falls, Tannenbaum Tree Farm, Rock Garden Nursery, Oakridge Nursery & Landscaping, Knobloch's Greenhouse, Quarry Stone Greenhouse, and Iott's Greenhouse and Gardens for their amazing donations.
Thanks to the fosters that came to help throughout the day.
