I have to say how incredibly proud I am of all of our followers and supporters here at A Tabby Cat’s Dream Rescue.

I constantly see rescues talking about how difficult it is to find homes for adult cats because everyone is only interested in kittens. While that is understandable, I can honestly say that, without jinxing myself, our supporters have continued to show up for cats of all ages. Time and time again, we’ve been able to find loving homes for kittens, older kittens, adult cats, and even some of our more challenging cases.

That matters more than you know.

Without adoptions, I cannot save lives. Every adoption opens up space, resources, and time for the next cat or kitten that desperately needs help. The reason we are able to continue rescuing is because our adopters continue to believe in our mission and give these cats a chance.

Which brings me to Bitsy

Her eye still continues to flare periodically, and we’re going to start her on a calming supplement along with Purina Pro Plan Calming Care to see if reducing stress helps improve her overall well-being. Those items are on our wish list as well!

As always, rescue doesn’t stop. We currently have 7 kittens in our care, and Bitsy is still eating kitten food to help maintain her weight. We are going through litter, supplements, and kitten food faster than ever.

If you’d like to help, we would be incredibly grateful for donations from our wish lists. Every bag of litter, every supplement, and every can of kitten food directly helps us continue caring for cats like Bitsy and the many kittens currently depending on us.

A Friendly Reminder Before Applying to Adopt

Please make sure that everyone in your household is on board with adopting before reaching out to us or submitting an application or going through the adoption process.

At A Tabby Cat’s Dream Rescue, we spend a lot of time reviewing applications, checking veterinary references, speaking with adopters, answering questions, and holding kittens while families make arrangements. When someone applies and then later tells us that their spouse, partner, parent, or another household member said no, it takes time away from caring for the cats and kittens who need us.

We completely understand that adopting a pet is a family decision, and we encourage those conversations. However, we kindly ask that you have those discussions before applying.

Please make sure:
🐾 All adults in the household agree to the adoption
🐾 Landlords have approved pets if you rent
🐾 Everyone understands the financial and long-term commitment of pet ownership
🐾 Existing pets and family members are considered before applying

Our time is extremely limited, and every minute spent on an adoption that cannot move forward is time taken away from caring for the kittens and cats in our rescue.

Thank you for respecting our time, our volunteers, and most importantly, the animals depending on us. We truly appreciate everyone who takes the time to carefully consider adoption and ensure their whole family is ready to welcome a new furry family member. ❤️🐾

🚨 WISH LIST WEDNESDAY 🚨

We are desperately in need of supplies! Between our rescue and foster home, we are down to our last bag of litter, and with multiple kittens currently in our care, we are flying through supplies every day.

We currently have several kittens receiving medical care, battling tummy issues, and working hard to gain enough weight for their upcoming spay and neuter appointments before heading to their forever homes. Every donation helps us provide food, litter, medical care, and a safe place for these babies while they wait for their families.

Our biggest needs right now are:

We could really use some help this week. We are flying through supplies while trying to get our tiny bottle babies healthy and up to a safe weight for their upcoming vet appointments.

Our biggest needs right now are:
🩶 Litter
🩶 Kitten food (wet and dry)
🩶 Supplements for our underweight babies

With 8 kittens currently in our care, supplies disappear quickly. Every donation, no matter how small, helps us provide the care these babies need while they grow strong enough for spay/neuter surgery and their forever homes.

Amazing news! All 6 of our new kittens have pending adoptions once they’re fully vetted and healthy. ❤️

I am so happy and grateful for everyone who has supported these babies along the way. Please keep them in your prayers that they all make weight for their appointments next week so they can be spayed and neutered as planned.

I can’t wait for each of these little ones to be settled into their loving forever homes. Watching them go from where they started to having families waiting for them is the best part of rescue. 🐾🏡💕

While these kittens have wonderful homes waiting, rescue never stops. We are still going through supplies very quickly and would be so grateful for any donations from our wish list. Food, litter, cleaning supplies, and kitten care items are always needed and help us continue saying “yes” to cats and kittens in need.

We still desperately need sponsors for 5 of the 6 kittens scheduled to be fully vetted next week. Each kitten’s vetting is approximately $150 and includes the care they need to safely prepare for adoption.

Any amount truly helps and goes directly toward their medical care. Without additional support, we simply will not be able to continue taking in more cats in need.

Our wonderful friend Sam took a chance on rehabbing our little Elvis. 🖤

Even though we had Elvis from a young age, he remained very semi-feral after months in rescue. He wouldn’t approach people, avoided human interaction, and was extremely difficult to catch. We knew he needed the right environment and the right person willing to be patient with him.

With time, consistency, and a calm home free of small kids and chaos, Sam completely changed Elvis’s world. Now Elvis is thriving, happy, comfortable, and loving life with Sam and his kitty sister. 🐾

Stories like this are why we never give up on the shy ones. Sometimes they just need the right person to understand them. Thank you, Sam, for seeing the potential in our sweet boy and giving him the life he deserved. ❤️
