Reasons to encourage your friend or relative to get a pet!
Important:
**Never get a pet as a present. This is going to be a companion, they need to pick it out & be sure they want it.
**Encourage those over 60 to adopt an age appropriate pet. The lifespan of the pet should come close to the person's expected life span, especially if there's an illness. Be sure the rescue will take the pet back.
**No matter what age you are, be sure you can afford basic & emergency care.
**Have a plan in place in case you cannot care for the pet.
**Set aside some assets to care for the pet and put this in your will.

If someone came to mind reading this - a mom alone with her cat, a neighbor whose dog is the only one who greets him - please send this video to them. ❤️
