Welcome to Vanguard Stables, Earnest!

This special guy made the trip from Indiana to join the Vanguard family! Earnest spent some of his years as a traditional working horse, and now he’s officially retired into his newest role which is permanent resident, barn owner’s pet, and professional scratch enthusiast.

We’re so happy to have him here and can’t wait for him to enjoy the life he’s more than earned.

🌟Trainer Spotlight: Addisen Hansell!🌟
We’re incredibly proud of Addie and all the hard work she put in this past weekend preparing Zeckra, Big John, and Si!
And through it all, she always has a smile on her face!
🤠 Zeckra tried her hoof at ranch-style classes and did a fantastic job!
🏆 Big John made his FIRST EVER horse show appearance! With Addie’s guidance, he had a wonderful and successful first show. She’s already looking forward to having his owner join them in the ring next time!
🖤 Si kept Addie busy, too! She prepared him for a last-minute in-hand class and supported him through his under-saddle class. Showing a young stallion in a new, busy, and crowded environment isn’t always easy, but Addie consistently rises to the challenge.

Addie’s dedication, adaptability, positive attitude, and ability to bring out the best in each horse make us so proud to have her at Vanguard Stables.

Way to go, Addie! We’re lucky to have you!

🌟Trainer Spotlight: Alex Terry!🌟

We’re incredibly proud of Alex and everything he accomplished this past weekend!

Alex recently purchased a new mare and piloted her through multiple classes, including patterns, rail work, and in-hand. 🐴

He also prepared Bailey and Nick for their very first show with Terry's Horse Company. They’ve been working together for just under two months and are already growing as a team. It’s been wonderful to see their progress!

And because Alex never shies away from lending a hand, he also jumped in on the final day to help with the English horses.

We’re lucky to have trainers who support their own programs while showing up for the entire barn community.
Way to go, Alex!
