Roscoe is 7 years old. He’s been constantly overlooked at the shelter. But these images from a recent outing show so plainly how much love and gratitude he has to give if someone would just give him a chance.

Adopt the old dog. Be their hero. These are the dogs that have been discarded, lived years without true companionship. These are the dogs that need you the most.

Roscoe’s adoption fee is waived.

More feedback on Atlas, the 1.5 year old mixed breed dog that is ADOPTABLE and DESERVES A FOREVER HOME!!! 🙏🏻

Atlas has all the qualities of a great hiking dog. He has steady endurance, and a calm and adaptable temperament. In addition his behavioral traits are ideal. He exhibits neutrality. He is amiable and calm. He doesn’t bark incessantly or at all, he doesn’t jump on passing strangers he stands quietly until they pass and then continues on his way. He has no high prey drive. He can walk through the woods without fixating on or chasing local wildlife. He has awesome trail manners. He stays on a single track - he doesn’t weave in front of your legs. He knows how to yield to passing people. He has strong cardiovascular endurance walking the trails for several hours doesn’t tire him out. Atlas is coordinated and agile he can scramble over rocks and hop over logs and cross streams. His coat is not too thick or too thin. With the addition of a winter coat he could hike in all types of weather. He is young, has a big chest and and a long nose - two more great pluses for hiking. Atlas is a strong physically fit muscular dog with a great temperament and a wonderful personality.

Time to shine a spotlight on ⭐️ Harley Quinn ⭐️

This sweet girl is sunshine and happiness. Every photo we have of her radiates warmth through her big smile!

Yesterday, she went on an out and about with a dedicated volunteer and here’s the report:

Although Harley is shy, when you first meet her, she will very quickly become your best friend. She walks exceptionally well on a leash and doesn’t seem to have much prey-drive (translation: she doesn’t seem to care about squirrels or rabbits).

Come meet Harley ASAP - this girl is bursting with love. The shelter is closed to the public on Mondays but reopens at 10am on Tuesday!

Ontario County is offering FREE Rabies Vaccination Clinics for dogs, cats, and ferrets. Rabies is deadly, but preventable. Keeping your pets vaccinated is one of the most important steps you can take to keep your household safe.

Even stormy seas can't keep a pirate away! It looks like the rain will clear up just in time for Pirate Palooza atHotel Canandaigua, Hilton Tapestry Collection.

We'll be there today from noon until 4pm! Food, drink, boat rides and more! Come on out for a good time!
