**Lost Cat**

Marco went missing in the area of Doris Dr and Route 96 in Clifton Springs, NY 14432 on 08/01/2026. Marco is a 10-year-old male DSH black cat missing the tip pf his tail. If you believe you have spotted Marco, please contact his worried owners via email at [email protected].

Happy Tails is so excited for our Paws, Play & Adoption Days - FREE ADOPTIONS event on August 15.

Not only is this an incredible opportunity to have some family-fun (bounce house, builder zone, free face painting), plus some fancy sodas and a hot dog - it’s also an opportunity for us to showcase the dozens of deserving animals that reside in our very overpopulated shelter - and thanks to a grant from ASPCA, all adoptions that are applied for on that day will be free.

Please navigate to our event page and let us know if you’ll be there. It will help us spread the word and connect with potential adopters.

We are also still accepting vendors so if you know anyone with some unique and fun goods to sell - please send them our way.

Reasons to bring your cat to your vet for their annual exams:

- Rabies vaccination (yes, even for the "indoor" cats)

- Dental exams - poor dental health affects the heart and general health of the cat

- Knowledge - the more we know about your cat's "normal", the better we can treat the future "abnormals".

- Prescriptions - we can not prescribe or refill ANY medications for a pet we have not seen in the last year

- Urgent care - yes, we absolutely try to get our patients in when there is an urgent need, and will 100% wiggle as much room as we possibly can for our patients over a pet we have never seen or haven't seen in several years. (Of course, sometimes we just absolutely can't...we only have so much time in the day and so many hands available. But we do our best!)

✅ Positive reinforcement, including treats and rewards, can help cats build positive associations with handling and veterinary care.

Small moments of comfort can help create a better experience for cats, caregivers, and veterinary professionals.
