This handsome boy came in today struggling with seasonal allergies that had him itching, scratching, and chewing excessively. Unfortunately, all that irritation caused significant matting throughout his coat, making him uncomfortable and trapping dirt and moisture against his skin.

During his grooming session, we carefully removed the mats, cleaned and soothed his skin, and gave him a fresh start. While grooming can’t cure allergies, maintaining a regular grooming schedule can help reduce discomfort by removing allergens, improving skin health, and preventing painful matting.

He left feeling cleaner, lighter, and much more comfortable. We wish him relief from those pesky seasonal allergies and many itch-free days ahead!

The day's second lovable canine was a 5-month-old Shi Tzu Yorkie mix. This was her initial grooming session. Her coat was severely tangled due to pesky fleas. We opted to shave her and she showed remarkable poise during her first groom. Unfortunately, I failed to take photographs, but her owner generously provided these images for me to post.

Transformation glamour shot featuring Miss Patches the standard poodle. Patches likes to roll in dirt and plays hard. She and her hoomans like a short cut for low maintenance. The creative groomer in me wants to spend hours sc******ng her into a continental. Maybe some day when she settles down.

Pregroom fluff on patches lifts dirt and fur that’s compacted and held by the fur. A process I use to get the best bath possible.
