Meet Lodi. 🤍🐾

This beautiful young girl was found on the streets after having puppies, and while we don’t know much about her life before she was rescued, we’re working to make sure her next chapter is a good one.

Lodi is currently being fostered through Animal Rescue Consortium with the help of an FDNY station in Brooklyn. I had the opportunity to meet and work with her today, and underneath some understandable nervousness is an incredibly smart, sweet dog with so much potential. I have a feeling that once Lodi chooses her person, she’s going to be incredibly devoted to them. ❤️

Lodi will be available for adoption soon, pending her spay and some additional training to help set her up for success.

For now, she’s safe, she’s learning, and hopefully soon she’ll get to be someone’s dog. 🥹❤️

This is Rambo! His guardians started working with me BEFORE they brought him home, which set him up for success. We formulated a potty training plan, set up their home for puppy proofing and made sure his mental and physical needs would be met. Today he knows: Sit, Touch, Down, Recall, Place, Stay, Leave it, Paw, Heel, Look at me, Go Potty, Wait and Bag. Working with puppies is super fun and provides me the opportunity to prevent behavior issues such as fear and reactivity from developing later on in the dogs' life.

This Monday (8/25) I am back to school! Working towards my Associate in Applied Science (Veterinary Technology). I am fortunate enough that I should be able to graduate "early" as I already have a few credits while studying through Unity college. This will be a step towards my goal of becoming a board certified veterinary behaviorist.
