Brisket's story is one of God's provision during one of the hardest seasons our team has ever faced.

After the accident in which we lost three very special members of our team, our friends at Samaritan's Purse blessed us in an incredible way by gifting Brisket to the Mission Mules family. It was a gift we'll never forget, and one that came at exactly the right time.

Because Max had been injured, Mike needed a mount who could immediately handle the demands of disaster relief, and Brisket proved he was more than ready for the job.

Since then, he has been an incredible blessing, faithfully leading our string and helping our team reach people in need.
One mission that especially stands out was in Texas, where Brisket confidently led the string through some of the thickest brush imaginable in relentless heat. His calm, level-headed nature, willingness to patiently wait for direction as chainsaws and crews worked all around him, and complete trust in Mike, allow Mike to focus on keeping the entire team safe.

When the work is done, though...Brisket has one thing on his mind: FOOD! 😂 He believes everything is a treat, and we have to keep him from overindulging on a daily basis!

He's a gorgeous hunk of a draft-cross gelding with a heart as big as he is. Every time we look at him, Samaritan, and Oak, we're reminded that even in seasons of tremendous loss, God faithfully provides exactly what we need—often through the generosity of people who care.

Thank you, Samaritan's Purse, for the gift of Brisket. He has become an irreplaceable part of the Mission Mules family. ❤️🐴
