💚 An Important Update from Sweet Grass Farms

After much consideration, we have made the difficult decision to close our South Carolina retail location. Saturday, September 26th will be our final day open to the public.

Rising freight, fuel, and operating costs, along with other unforeseen circumstances, have made it increasingly difficult for us to continue providing the level of quality, service, and support our customers have come to expect from Sweet Grass Farms.

To our customers and this incredible community, thank you for supporting our small business, trusting us with the care and nutrition of your animals, and making Sweet Grass Farms part of your lives. Your support has meant more to us than we can say.

As we prepare to close, all remaining inventory must go.

…and more.

We encourage you to stop in and stock up while supplies last. Hay and other items are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

🐓 Built for real backyard flocks.

Our Amish-handcrafted Chicken Tractors are thoughtfully designed for quality, durability, and easy mobility.

Each 5’ × 8’ tractor offers 40 sq ft of usable space and features:

• Engineered wood siding
• All-weather metal roof
• Lightweight aluminum flip-down wheel assembly
• Hanging waterer and feeder
• 4 nesting boxes

The aluminum wheel assembly is one of our favorite features, making it easy for one person to reposition the tractor and move your flock onto fresh ground.

Built with care. Made to last.

❤️ At the heart of everything we do is a love for the horse.

They’re the reason we care so much about what we feed, what we carry, what we build, and the choices we make every day.

Because when you love horses, the details matter. 🌿

That’s the heart of Sweet Grass Farms.

🌾 There’s more to hay than meets the eye.

For us, choosing hay starts long before it arrives at Sweet Grass Farms.

We visit farms, get to know our growers, and spend time with the hay itself. We look at the color, texture, leaf retention, stem size, aroma, and overall quality.

Then we test it.

Nutritional testing gives us the part of the picture we can’t see or feel, with real information about protein, energy, sugar, starch, fiber, minerals, and more.

It’s all part of being thoughtful about the hay we bring in and knowing as much as we can about what we’re offering you and your horses.

🌾 We do hay differently.
