It’s a wrap for the 2026 show season! Last Saturday, Deseado got his most promising GP test with half of the scores being a 7 or above (and two 8s and two 7.5 💫) - now I just have to keep the fire without getting mistakes (the Sunday was big mistakes free but not enough power). I am so very grateful to get to polish all that this winter with this generous and talented horse!
Thank you to Red Tail Farm for a wonderful, relaxed and well run show series, a big thank you to Bill Warren with the help the week before the show, Lisa Schmidt for the help at the show on Saturday (I sure could have used you the second day 🙃).
Thank you to BioStar US for helping Deseado sensitive stomach feel his best with high quality wholesome ingredients, every day at home and at the shows. And thank you to Paddy Doyle Farrier LLC for the best feet for my boy!

Thanks to North Winds Horse Farm for running a great schooling show last Sunday! Steven did his first dressage show (after a reconversion from the hunters) and he did a great job riding Edie in the rain and then the mist with steady 60s in both tests, and even some 7s with the canter work! I took sale horse Gossip Girl aka Dani and she was an absolute angel, scoring mid sixties at Intro C and Training 1 for her first off the farm experience, getting lots of 7.5 and even a few 8! So proud of this fancy, talented and willing young mare!!

Wishing Veritas and his owner all the fanciest smoothest dance moves together! After purchasing him from our sales program, Melinda kept Veritas in training at the farm for 8 more months to bring him from training level to second level + some third level moves. It was a real pleasure to train such a refined horse for an owner who is passionate about French classical dressage and lightness. I’ll miss him dearly but he could not have found a better home!

Some nice shots from Hits last weekend- thanks to ! I didn’t have the rides I wanted with Deseado but I’m so please with the extra power i started to feel on the Sunday - just created some more costly mistakes 🙃 but it’s all going in the right direction and could not be happier with the extra confidence he gets in the ring. And the other good news is that Deseado is getting so good with the ones that he adds some in the 2s now 😆 🥰 It’s a work in progress! And so wonderful to have Peyton help this weekend again - she is Deseado’s favorite, especially when she shares her yummy snacks ;)
